Creating a budget for your time and energy can totally change your life.
On the podcast this week, I share a brief overview of the 5 steps and then help us focus on the value of making our plan in advance. It is so much easier to decide and do what is important to you, than it is to allocate energy throughout the day without a plan.
The 5 steps of my Time & Energy Management System:

In this episode, deepen your understanding of the importance of reflection. Reflection involves looking back, noticing the big picture, noticing your goals, noticing where your energy is going, noticing how you're doing. Once you notice those things, you have the power to pivot and make adjustments.

Many of us think of “rest” as maybe a nap or just a break from what we're currently doing. However, there are many kinds of rest and it’s important to choose and practice the ones that are right for you.
I was inspired by an Instagram post from ninetypes.co on how we can rest based on our Enneagram. In this podcast, I'm offering my thoughts on different ways of thinking about rest that roughly correspond to the nine Enneagram types.
As none of us need to stay “stuck in the box” of our main type, we are also not “stuck” with just one version of rest. There likely are several types of rest that will work well for you in different circumstances. It doesn’t matter if you know your Enneagram type or not.
Take a listen and try out some new kinds of rest in your regular practice - see what a difference it can make in your life! Nine KInds of Rest
1. Gift yourself some time away
2. Give yourself permission to not be helpful
3. Be unproductive on purpose
4. Connect to art or nature
5. Make time for solitude
6. Let someone else make decisions and take responsibility
7. Allow time for stillness
8. Create a space you enjoy
9. Take time to journal & notice what you’re thinking

Did you know that getting satisfaction from completing a task isn’t the same thing as enjoying the action of completing that task?
When considering what you “enjoy” in life, many of us squeeze out true fun and enjoyment by focusing on getting things done and checking things off our lists.
Getting things done is certainly important, however, checking things off our lists is not the same thing as “having fun”. Taking time to really consider what you actually enjoy, like, and love to do is not a trivial exercise.
The tools I share on this week's episode helped me discover that I don't LOVE going to the dump :)

In this episode, Kelly talks about the value we bring to our families as being so much more than how much money is on our paychecks.
All work matters and is full of purpose - the work managing a home, the work caring for children or elderly parents, the volunteer/community work, AND the work you do that brings in money.
In addition, it is ALSO work to stay healthy and aligned so that you can pour into other people. It ALL matters! You bring more value than you may realize. Take some time to consider this. Decide that you are worth regular, intentional, committed self-care and the ongoing management of your thoughts & feelings.

In this podcast, Kelly shares how discovering her own creativity through Julia Cameron's book The Artist’s Way has transformed her life over the past four years.
God's gift to us is creativity; by embracing our creative selves (in whatever form that comes for each of us), we can align with our true nature and invite more joy and fulfillment into our lives. By tapping into our creative energies, we can connect with the vibrant life we were meant to live!

This week's podcast is a partial recording from my INVEST in your Dreams group coaching program. We look at energy in its various forms and discuss the importance of noticing that our energy lies in the step between what we notice and our decision making & planning. This has a great impact on our actions, which, in turn, move us either closer or further away from fulfilling our dreams. The transition from noticing to deciding must be done with the right energy to be impactful. Only then can we choose the most effective tools that align our energy daily and move us towards the fulfillment of our dreams.
