In this podcast, I am talking about the power of paying attention to the ebb & flow of your energy.

Start by noticing and answering a few questions:

    • Are you aware of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy?
    • Do you notice the changes in energy in different seasons of the year?
    • Are your energy levels mismatched with your life's demands?

Understanding this has truly transformed many aspects of my life and my hope is that it can also help you on your path toward living a vibrant life!

    In this week’s podcast, I am sharing a re-release of episode 33.

Decluttering one space at a time is the foundation for a home more aligned with your well being and values.

    • Main points:
      • You have the authority to decide how to prioritize what is important to you.
      • Notice which spaces are most important to you. Find a neutral sentence to describe them rather than a judgmental sentence.
      • Decide one priority at a time.  Choose in advance 3-5 days to make small practice steps to move you forward.
      • Take everything out, decide if it's serving you. Decide if you want to keep it.
      • Practice saying goodbye to things.

  • Create a Home You Love Coming Home To

Taking the time to create consistent practice steps to redefine the physical spaces in your home can lead to profound personal growth. In this episode, I share anecdotes and life coaching strategies that can guide your decision making as you create a home you love coming home to.

    Main points:

    • The three steps that we use for any result we are seeking (Notice, Decide, and Practice) can be applied to improving your physical spaces.
    • Start by noticing the thoughts and feelings you have about your spaces (I cover this in more depth in episode #80)
      • Consider first the spaces YOU are in control of - not the others you live with.
    • Do one small space at a time
    • Decide the energy/vibe you desire for that space
    • Choose 3-5 small actions that will move you in that direction
    • For each item, decide whether or not it’s still serving you.
      • If it’s time to let it go, thank it and say goodbye

  • Cultivating an Attitude of "Enough"

Have you ever stepped into a room and felt an instant sense of peace wash over you? That's what can happen when the spaces of your home mirror your values, and it's exactly what we're exploring today.

We'll discover how gratitude and generosity can impact not just our homes but our hearts.

    Main points:

    • Do some thought work BEFORE taking action -  take a careful look at your physical spaces; walk through your home slowly and notice the feelings and thoughts you have of each space - do they reflect your values?
      • Do you enjoy being in that space? Is it “your friend”? Why or why not?
      • Notice what you are most grateful for about each space
    • Then move on to your thoughts about the physical items -
      • What are you grateful for?
      • What are the” little things” that help you get the most out of your spaces?  It can be as small as a favorite cup, or a certain blanket or chair when the sun hits it just right, etc.
    • What things are no longer needed or useful but are still there?

  • "Re-think Meal Planning" Workshop

Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.com

Feeling overwhelmed by the weekly grind of “simply” putting dinner on the table? Did you know that it’s not really that simple? This episode isn't about recipes and grocery lists; it's a candid discussion about the realities of feeding a family (or just yourself) amidst the whirlwind of life.  I share simple tips and practical strategies to help avoid the last-minute scramble and make meal planning & prep a smoother and more peaceful part of your weekly rhythm.

    • Main points:
      • Be aware of what I refer to as“emotional labor”- all the thoughts & feelings related to the activities needed to run a home, including putting dinner on the table.
      • Meal planning seems simple, but it actually involves a lot of steps, all of which require mental energy and many of which require physical energy.
      • Take some time to identify all the steps involved (e.g., planning, grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, cleaning up).
        • Notice your thoughts and feelings about each one.
        • Consider balancing task division so no one person is stuck always doing the set of activities they hate.
        • Recognize that few people have high mental energy during the hour when dinner needs to be prepared.

In this episode, I talk about the idea of finding flow in our work instead of being in a constant state of frenetic energy. Multitasking feels productiive,  but in reality we're just bouncing around like a ping-pong ball, eventually exhausting ourselves.

On the podcast this week we talk about the work to slow down & do one thing well

    • Main points:
      • It takes work to begin to do something you don’t know how to do
      • Do one thing, do it well, move on
      • Align your time and energy

  • Thriving in Winter Energy

You can’t change what you don’t notice.  Pay attention to the fact that different seasons require different protocols, rhythms and energy

    • We can’t just breathe in - we must breathe out as well.  In the same way, we can’t always be running/doing at the same pace.  Must lean in slower rhythms at certain times and in certain seasons of our lives - winter, illness, transition, grief, etc.

Send Kelly a text when you click here, or stop by Kellytibbitts.com

Join me in this episode to learn how to break free from the chains of ceaseless busyness and cultivate a lifestyle that enriches your soul. We're going to notice the difference between going fast & frenetic (where we create productivity but the result often leaves us overwhelmed, exhausted, and depleted), and going low and slow, which creates true efficiency and peaceful productivity.   Choose LOW & SLOW!

    • Main points:
      • Seek the delicate balance between achieving your goals and healthy self care
      • Notice and decide what kind of energy you want to be in
      • Practice Sabbath- taking 24 hours a day each week to slow down and rest
