On the heels of the announcement of him being named the Director of the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas, Diego joined us on tour supporting his latest release Mestizo with his quartet.

New York City based trombonist Sam Blakeslee comes home to celebrate the release of his new album The Long Middle with his quartet ‘wistful thinking’. The album is something closer to chamber jazz than the big band sound Sam is known for throughout northeast Ohio. But for this performance – Sam decided to move away from the chamber jazz sound with the addition of drums to give the music a different sound and feel.

Bobby Selvaggio is one of the leading contemporary alto sax players on the jazz scene, and one of Northeast Ohio’s most prolific performers. Performing with trios, quartets and big bands on an ongoing basis, Bobby always brings audiences a wide variety of jazz in various forms.

Pianist Noah Haidu’s two most recent releases are outstanding tributes to jazz legends, and he stopped by for two sold out performances with a legendary trio to play selections from both.
Doctone is the culmination of a film, book and album tribute to the legendary Kenny Kirkland, released in 2019. Slowly is his tribute to Keith Jarrett, released in May 2021. Both project feature performances of compositions by these legends and Doctone is a larger project that documents Kirkland’s life.
Noah took our stage for two performances with two jazz legends. Bassist and Grammy winner Buster Williams has a career spanning sixty years working with everyone from Herbie Hancock to Miles Davis.
Drummer Carl Allen has worked with artists as diverse as Freddie Hubbard, Ricky Lee Jones and Christian McBride’s Inside Straight.
The Trio joined us on stage on November 21st, 2022 and here’s Part Two – Live at the Bop Stop.
