What do when you feel discouragement, trouble, or hopelessness?
Who’s there for you when you are going through the muck?
Do you need encouragement, but it’s not coming?
In the Last episode, we talked about how we can encourage others. Today we’re talking about one more person that needs encouragement…You.
Your going through hell and back and don’t know where to turn.
You’re hopeless, and no one seems to be there for you.
Even if you answered you have no one to help you through the muck, you could still find the encouragement you need.In the Psalms, David showed us how to encourage ourselves.
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name…

David is reminding himself of how good God is.

Read the Psalms or the gospels in your Bible. Engaging with the life of Jesus encourages you.
Philippians is full of more scriptures on joy, and Paul was in prison when he wrote it.
You can also read a book to encourage yourself.
Try The 4:8 Principle by Tommy Newberry. It’s all about our thought life; by choosing our thoughts, we can experience a state of joy beyond our circumstances.
And, hey, you don’t have to be down to encourage yourself. You can use encouragement to enjoy your life that much more.
What is one way you’re going to encourage yourself this week?
Or, what is another way you like to encourage yourself that you can share with us?
Let me give you one way if you need an idea to encourage yourself. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
