Live For This

Folks, another one in the books. This is our sweet 16...th episode. We talk about the terrible plane crash involving Devil Wears Prada founding drummer Daniel Williams, Twenty One Pilots making more new music, Freddie Mercury's alleged "lovechild" (this term is used but being protested by Jenn,) Miley talking about Harrison Ford being sage like, Kate Hudson having a fun time out with her son, Lorde having a fun time at a Lorde themed dance party, Britney Spears lightin' mups on a plane, the death of college football, and we talk about playlists. In fact, we're sharing um for real real down below.

and not least, intro music provided by Speak, Memory!

Folks, we're back. We have another goofy ol' time talking about Jane's Addiction, Charli XCX, Blink-182, Planned Parenthood, Robbie Williams for some inexplicable reason, Josh Freese and Foo Fighters fallout, Miley with new music, Dua Lipa tour info, Billie Eilish tour news, the ill advised and rejected proposal to ban the Tush Push, and we chop it up and Paul does a much better job with the alphabet game! We had a good time and we hope you do to.

Please, don't forget to like and subscribe! It means so much to us because we do it for love.

INTRO: Cabin - Speak, Memory

Folks, this is not a mammoth episode. We do have a bit of news for you. We talk the Turnstile benefit show in Baltimore, Lorde announcing the Ultrasound Tour (when we were recording last week, oddly,) John Moreland/Zach Bryan drama, Kesha's thoughts on her dumbest song, a Lemmy statue salute, the Albini Garage Sale, smashing up music venues. We touch on David Beckham being soft after a little ribbing from a rival team, Coach Q somehow returning, and we play some music and games and have a good one. Fun times, buds!

Gawrsh darn it, check out those socials.

Intro: Cabin - Speak, Memory

Folks, this is truly a mammoth episode. We have a lot of news we unpack but we take time out to talk about Mental Health Awareness Month and a handful of artists who have been open about their struggles, including some more about Mark Hoppus's mental state when his cancer was diagnosed. We talk Gaga at the Copacabana, Bumbershoot, Lorde coming out with a new album, David Lee Roth returning to the stage, Turnstile releasing a visual album... then sports, with more Mammoth (hockey) talk. We talk about those songs that get you revved up, the songs that changed your life, sonic branding, who we'd want to work with, and we learn what safe harbor rules are in broadcasting! Once again, baller show, blast.

Dagnabbit, check out those socials, y'all.

And thanks again to Tim and Speak, Memory for our wonderful intro music.

Folks. It's May. Can you believe that? That's wild. We talk an awful lot about things happening around Los Angeles, unfortunately more on Katy Perry, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, MATT PINFIELD!, doubling up on the NFL Draft since it's over, and hypothetical situations that might alter the course of music forever. Heavy stuff, as Marty McFly would say.

Come on bro, it's fun. Let's go have fun. Live for this.

Thanks to Tim from Speak, Memory for our wonderful intro music.

This is a big boy of an episode, just full of delicious treats. We hit on a sloppy Coachella weekend 2, the AMA nominees, RIOT FEST!, Newport Jazz Fest, K Dot and SZA kicking off their tour, new Megan Thee Stallion, Lorde making an event too viral, SPORTS!, booking your own party, songs that remind you of times gone by, earworms, and an EXTRA feisty gang that just went off.

Check it out. You know you want to. Join us. Live for this.

Folks, this is a humdinger. This is, somehow, our LONGEST episode. I don't know either, man, time totally flew by on this one. We talked about Blue Origin, big big talk on Coachella, our experience on Record Store Day, Lollapalooza drama from 1994, Lil Nas X, JD Vance breaking stuff, the NBA/NHL playoffs, and the art of the playlist.

No Paul failures this week! He's trying to start a new streak!

Folks, we're back. Another week, another batch. What baked up this week? Well, Weezer's bassist's wife pulled a gun on police. High Vis tour cancelled. Blink 182 announces a tour. Turnstile drops a new single. Modest Mouse joins the celebrity cruise business. Johnny Marr tapped for a Record Store Day honor. Some kid peeing in a water cooler. Ovechkin still hasn't scored an Ovechtrick. Buddy, we got it this week.

Except Paul. Paul messed up a game again.

Come tear this joint down with us.
