His struggles with depression began in high school, at the age of 16, and continued until the birth of his daughter at around the age of 30 years old. Along the way, he entertained thoughts of suicide. The question becomes, how was he able to dig his way out and overcome the incredible grip that depression had on his life. And more incredible about his story is that he was able to rise and overcome without expensive therapy or anti-depressant medications. In today’s episode, we’ll take an in-depth exploration into his story, how depression nearly cost him everything, and later how he turned it all around to take full responsibility and ownership for his life, the choices he was making, and the thoughts that he allowed to play out in his mind.
