Video of the week: Tom Bilyeu on Keys to Enjoying Quarantine - by Lisa and Tom Bilyeu
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZw5oipg2U8
Mindset - be excited, find the opportunity. Silver Lining! Figure out why this is an amazing opportunity
David have you gotten to this point and if so what’s your silver lining
Fun stuff - take time to really do fun stuff. Don't forget the importance of selfish time - schedule time to do things for yourself. To improve yourself, relax yourself, something that’s fulfilling to your soul.
Especially for those sharing a space, this is especially important.
And it needs to be uninterrupted time.
Plan that time with your spouse or roommate that you don’t want to be interrupted.
And no judgement of what they want selfish time to be.

  • 035: Living It Under Quarantine: Expectations Edition
    Word of the Week: CONNECT!
Now that we've all gone through the stages of grief (to a greater or lesser degree), because that is what we are feeling is grief, we can talk about our expectations.
We have lost our way of life. It hasn’t just been turned upside down, it’s changed for good. It wont stay this way, but even when the quarantine is lifted we won’t be going back to the way things we did a few weeks ago. So we are dealing with the fact that our old way of living is over. It’s dead. And we must grieve whether we want to or not.
These are the stages to grieving:
    SHOCK & DENIAL
    PAIN & GUILT
    ANGER & BARGAINING
    "DEPRESSION", REFLECTION, LONELINESS
    THE UPWARD TURN
    RECONSTRUCTION & WORKING THROUGH
    ACCEPTANCE & HOPE
If you look back at how you’ve reacted to this over that past few weeks you’ll see that you’ve had some if not all the negative emotions. We doubt anyone is at the point where we feel optimistic and hopeful and ready to start accepting and adapting. But of course that’s where we want to be because until then we can’t move forward and get back to living it.
And it’s ok. That’s what this show is about this week. Our expectations at this point.

  • 034: OUTBREAK EDITION - Living it Under Quarantine
We're mixing up the show to help you start living it while being quarantined in your house because of the Coronavirus and Covid-19. Word of the WEEK: Change!
Topic of the Week: Living it Under quarantine
Video of the week:Having trouble sleeping? Me too - Mel Robbins youtube channel
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFbo5F1mt50
Suggestions for getting back on a better sleep schedule.
    - Cut out the caffeine after 3pm
    - Shut off the phones and tablets two hours before you go to bed
    - Begin a nightly ritual/routine that will calm your central nervous system
    - Read before bed
Suggestions for getting back to sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night:
Use the 5 second rule. Don’t just lay there with your thoughts. Count backwards from 5, it draws the focus to the prefrontal cortex which gives you immediate control of what to think of next. Picture in your mind the place you are most excited to go when this coronavirus crisis is over. Visualize it, imagine being there, feeling, smelling, hearing the sounds. Try to transport yourself there. You will feel your anxiety start to lessen and your mind will begin to quiet down.
Live It or Waste It suggestions:
    - Be mindful of your thoughts
    - Make sure your expectations of this situation are realistic - .
    - Prepare your mind for a long quarantine, then prepare your life for a long quarantine. Even if it isn’t - BUT DON’T HOARD
    - Plan accordingly. Have a plan for what you are going to do during and after the quarantine.
    - Create new routines!
    - Reach out to others. See if they are ok. Ask for help if you are struggling.

The 5 Morning Habits That Keep Me Anxiety Free by the Anxiety Guy
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4BbDW0_AOo
40 million Americans suffer from anxiety. ? the population. 35-50 percent go undiagnosed.
Constant anxiety is cancer of the mind. And if you allow it to go untreated it will eventually do serious harm. Anxiety is something every person deals with at some point. We are all susceptible to stress, usually on a daily basis so this is important for everyone to know, not just people with serious anxiety disorders. This video is a good reminder for us to be self aware of our anxiety and notice if we are displaying any of the symptoms we mention on a regular basis. If you are, then our next video will hopefully help you with that.
The 5 Morning Habits That Keep Me Anxiety Free by the Anxiety Guy
Tip 1, First thing when you wake up, engage in thinking that will help me through the day. Ask two questions, how am I going to prove my old self, schmitty wrong? The second is, think about what am I excited about doing that day?
Tip 2, give back to your body. Drink water. Spend the morning hydrating your lymphatic system to prevent adrenal fatigue and boost your immune system.
Tip 3, do some mindful meditation. Cycle through images (8-12) images that are in line with what you want to create in your life.
Tip 4 energizing stretch. You do yoga or just stretch by listening to your body, go with the way your body wants to go, in whatever way it wants to stretch
Last tip Engage in your senses. Really be aware of what you are touching, tasting, smelling etc...
