Drew Manning is a health and fitness expert and a New York Times best-selling author of Fit2Fat2Fit: The Unexpected Lessons from Gaining and Losing 75 lbs on Purpose.
Drew is in the middle of a deliberate effort to lose 60 pounds in 4 months that he gained in 4 months from Aug. 20th to Dec. 27th, 2020.
This is the second time Drew has done something like this. 10 years ago, he garnered international attention when he gained 75 pounds on purpose before losing it. Drew says the idea came to him when one of his clients told him he couldn’t possibly understand the struggle people go through when trying to lose weight.
Drew believes the fitness industry has a real disconnect with many people, and he’s hoping to bridge that gap with these weight-gain and weight-loss missions. He says there isn’t enough understanding and empathy in his field, and he hopes this experience will help highlight that for others.
He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his daughters, who remind him every day not to take things too seriously.

In this episode of Live Life in Motion, I talk with NFL legend Brett Favre. For a guest that needs no introduction, the conversation covers a number of topics you might not know about with Brett. He has an openness, and authenticity that is admirable for anyone. Our conversation covers him overcoming addiction during his Super Bowl winning year, his childhood in Mississippi, becoming a dad at the age of 20 and the relationship he had with his dad, including his decision to play the day after his father's sudden death. I felt very fortunate to have Brett on and I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.
