My very first teaching job was at a school called “Vernon-Verona- Sherrill High School” in Verona, NY. For those who are unfamiliar with that area of NY, it’s pretty close to Syracuse. There were about 800 students total, I was 22 years old and pretty fresh out of college! My Seniors that year were only 4 years younger than me and it was definitely a wonderful time in my life. Many of the students that I taught during my 3 years at that school are my friends now to this day!! There wasn’t a very big age difference and since it was my first full-time teaching job, I learned a lot and they helped me through it!! So, it’s with great excitement that I tell you about my special guest today – because he’s a former French student of mine from that first school I taught at in Central NY!
Aaron Dodge has been on a path to be the center of attention his whole life. I remember his great energy that he always had in my French class and now he is using that great, positive energy to move forward in life, to seek out his dreams and to make them into realities. Aaron is a host/MC for sporting, fitness and non-profit events, has over 10 years experience managing live sporting events (like NBA, WNBA, Triathlon), and he is a brand influencer. He is a TikTok star, comedian, great dancer and all-around nice guy.
In this interview, we chat about how to be successful on TikTok, how to come up with original content, being your authentic self and more! You definitely won't want to miss this one! Aaron's energy and enthusiasm for life is contagious!!!

For more info about Aaron, visit his website at HOME | Aaron (aarondodge.com) or connect with him on TikTok @aaron_dodge,  Instagram @aaron_dodge, Twitter @mr_aaron_dodge, FB or YouTube Aaron Dodge!! Be sure to follow him on all of these platforms to see what he does next!!!!

For those of you that have been listening to “Live with Squacky” for a while now (either Season 1 or in YouTube format before this) – you know that animation and character work is my favorite type of voiceover work to do! So when I get the chance to interview actors that are super pros in these genres of voice acting, it’s even more exciting for me!! My special guest today is a top tier talent in the voice acting world. I met Elley Ray Hennessy for the first time in 2012 or so at a VO conference I attended in Toronto. I was so impressed with her level of creativity and her ability to get an entire room of people to follow her guidance in creating characters. I had the chance to attend a session with her again at VO Atlanta after that and was again impressed with her ability to give such awesome direction to get actors to reach their highest level of performance. She is truly one of the best voice actors out there!

ELLEY has been traversing the stages, film sets, television and radio studios for over 40 years, delighting audiences worldwide. Her talent and compassion to share it are "unparalleled."

Elley has performed in over 300 theatrical productions, with hundreds of on-camera series and movies to her credit and voiced literally thousands of commercial campaigns, animated series, animated movies and games.

Enjoy Part 1 of this episode! Part 2 will be released on Tuesday, February 15 at 8am ET on Apple Podcasts and all podcast platforms.

Coffee, comedy, positivity and kindness! These are a few of the things I love the most! Today on the show, I’ll be talking with two people that are super pros when it comes to coffee, acting, comedy and being kind, compassionate people. Daniella Monet is an actress best known for her work on the Nickelodeon show “Victorious” where she played the hilarious role of Trina Vega! Daniella has been in various other great tv shows and movies and is seriously talented when it comes to physical comedy and improv, throwing herself into each role with passion and enthusiasm! She is also an animal lover, fitness fanatic, vegan foodie, entrepreneur, Mom to adorable Gio James, and the fiancée of our other great guest today Andrew Gardner. Andrew Gardner is the founder of “Drew Coffee”, Dad to Gio James and an all-around nice guy!! I was able to get in on the first batch of “Drew Coffee” that came out and I can tell you – as an official coffee snob, that it’s fantastic!! It’s smooth, not bitter and has great flavor. When you open the great, clean white package, the awesome aroma of the delicious coffee hits your nose and it’s exciting!! Together, Daniella and Andrew host their great podcast called “Adulting like a Mother Father” where they talk about parenting, relationships, and they have guests on the show too!
In this interview, we chat about Daniella's time on "Victorious", her great improv skills, and how being a Mom has changed her life. I ask her about her business endeavors like "Kinder Beauty Box", "Sugar Taco" and "Sprouted." Her fiancé, Andrew Gardner is the owner/founder of "Drew Coffee" so I had the chance to ask him about how his love for coffee started, what it takes to make the perfect espresso and what his future plans are for his company. These two are expecting a baby girl any day now, so we talked a bit about parenting and how they are feeling about adding this new addtion to their family soon!
It was truly an honor to have these two on the show! They seem to be very kind-hearted, down to earth people. I hope you enjoy this interview!

For more information about any of their business endeavors or to connect with Daniella and Andrew, you can find them on Instagram @daniellamonet, @gaftonguy and you can find all info about their "Adulting Like a Mother Father" podcast @adultinglikeamf.

On Season 1 – Episode 1 of “Live with Squacky”, I did an in depth interview with Actor/Writer/Director Tom DeNucci. At the time of that interview, the COVID-19 pandemic had just started, his movie “Vault” had just been released and we had a great time talking about that – as well as a variety of other topics! Now that we’re in Season 2 of the show, I thought it only fitting to do a follow up with Tom – to see what he’s working on now and how he’s been coping over the past few months during this crazy time!
In this episode we talk about Tom's role in the movie "Money Plane" with Kelsey Grammer, his upcoming films that are in production, and what it's like to direct or act in a film during COVID times. We also chat about his action figure collection(!), what his superpower would be if he could have one and so much more! This is a fun interview you definitely won't want to miss!!

We’re kicking off season 2 with a superstar talent that I met a few years ago on Twitter.

Chris Newman is an actor and producer, known for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), The Five-Year Engagement (2012) and Love and Honor(2013).

Chris was born and grew up in Troy, Michigan. Always performing for friends but otherwise shy, he began his acting career in college, on a dare. Soon, Chris caught "the acting bug" and never looked back, starring in productions of "Brighton Beach Memoirs", "Agatha Christie's Mousetrap" and Neil Simon's "The Good Doctor". He would later go on to play Stanley Kowalski in "A Streetcar Named Desire" and Lt. Daniel Kaffee in "A Few Good Men", to name a few.

Following his success in theatre, Chris turned his attention to film and studied at the Dramatic Arts Studio, under the tutelage of Christopher Bondy. Chris earned roles in the films I already mentioned, as well as Solomon and Injustice For All.

Chris and I chat about his acting career, how to stay balanced with work and family, superpowers and more!!! You definitely won't want to miss this episode!

For more information about Chris, you can check out his IMDB page here!! Or you can connect with him on Twitter @Chris80Newman, on Instagram @chrisnewman_actor or on FB!!

Let me tell you about my special guest today – Terry Dubbs! Terry comes by her down to earth sound honestly. She lives in the Midwest, on a farm raising goats with her husband and two dogs.

Her honest sound gets her booked over and over again from Commercial to Political ads, to Telephony and Narration. Her passion for voice over started long before she ever started coaching with some of the industries top coaches. She lent her voice to independent film projects and was constantly asked to record corporate voice mail messages for companies she worked for. Making the transition to professional voice talent wasn’t a stretch considering her voice was already in demand!

Terry’s background in acting has served her and her clients well over the years. Her rates are competitive in the business and auditions are always free!

I had the chance to meet Terry at the Virtual Mini MAVO2020 conference that I organized and hosted back at the beginning of November this year!! She’s so sweet and down to earth!

For more info about Terry, you can visit her website at Terry Dubbs Voiceovers or connect with her on Twitter @noahsgranny, Instagram @terrydubbsvo, or on Facebook at Terry Misner Dubbs.
