Ebony Allison is an Entrepreneur originally from Akron, OH. She currently resides in New York City where she is Co-Founder of Bleu Life Media and Director of Content at Bleu Life Magazine. This week we spoke with Ebony about her experiences of what lead her into an aspiring stylist and ultimately molded her into a full time stylist working with artists such as Rihanna, Nipsey Hussle, and the Game. Ebony is a genuine spirit who was honest about her experiences of enjoying the perks of success, while also having moments where she struggled mentally. Through the historical year of 2020 she has discovered new forms of growth and healing that has helped her in being a part of one of the most successful independent media company’s. David McCullar is a entrepreneur and CEO of the First Mental Health Gym “Inception”. David grew up in Detroit, MI in the 8 Mile area as the son of a parents who worked 9-5s and as entrepreneurs. After suffering from panic attacks, insomnia and anxiety he was committed to finding his process of healing. He founded the mental health gym Inception with his father. The mental health gym offers different programs of holistic healing such as float tank therapy and brain training. In this episode David and I spoke about our childhood traumas that many my consider as “normal” everyday occurrences as well as why the present moment permits its own dimension of happiness and wholeness. Nita Davidson aka Cousin Nita or Big Cuz as some know her as, is a Real Estate Investor, Licensed Realtor and Inspector here in Ohio.  In this episode Nita discusses the influence of her mother and grandmother introducing her to a love of reading as well as her growth as a woman, leader and future entrepreneur.  Like myself, Nita lived in the City of Akron growing up, but her family wanted her exposed to higher education and sent her to a private school in a suburb outside of Akron.  For some, this may not sound like much, but these experiences would help shape Nita into the titan that she is today in business.  She shared her experiences of not being exposed or influenced by other black business owners and entrepreneurs as a child, until she looked at herself in the mirror.  If anyone who's had a conversation with Nita or followed her on social media, you'd quickly see how authentic and genuine she is, which is why this conversation was one of my favorites.  We spoke about the importance of why Black representation in the Real Estate investment space is needed more now than ever, and exactly what separates her education courses from other influencers and educators.  We also discussed how important it is to face our fears in order to breakthrough the universes resistance if we want to fulfill and live our true purpose.  Enjoy the episode. She’s styled people from G-Eazy, Chance the Rapper, Courtney Love, T-Pain and Deandre Hopkins. She has editorial credits with Condé Nast which owns Vogue, the New Yorker, GQ and Vanity Fair. Young Stayj as I like to call her spoke to us about growing up in the Bay Area as a kid during the late 90s and early 2000s. She talked to us about her grandmother working in Hollywood as a seamstress, her mother making her clothes as a kid, and how her aunts being fly sparked her early interest in creating and fashion. In this episode Anastasia and I learned of a lot of foundational experiences we share that created a great substance filled conversation on purpose, passion and how chasing her dreams lead her to a career she loves, from traveling the world with different people and establishing long lasting relationships. As a entrepreneur he broke down why not speeding up the process is essential, and why the journey always makes the story better. In episode #7 of the Quarantine Edition series, we spoke with Dr. Tania Lodge, who was an earlier guest this season on episode #4. Dr. Tania Lodge is the Clinical Director of Minority Behavioral Health Group, the community mental health agency in Akron, OH. Dr. T specializes in providing culturally specific mental health services such as, psychotherapy, consultation, and group workshops centered around African Centered Psychology. In this episode we believed it was imperative to have Dr. T speak on the recent murder of George Floyd, the current protests, and how we are currently being further traumatized through the media and other outlets as another Black Death has become publicized. Dr. T gave us some insight and solutions to keep our mental health grounded during this time and she also spoke on why we cannot wait for the system of white supremacy to save us, because more times than not, white people will find a way to white people.
