Last week I began sharing how my New Year got off to an unexpectedly messy start. This week I continue sharing the saga--picking up where I left off.

In a nutshell, after a New Year's Eve party, I ended up going to pick Linny and a friend up in the wee hours. Much to my chagrin, on the way home said friend got sick and prolifically threw up in the back seat of my car.

This past week I had the joy of spending the day with my dad celebrating his 88th birthday. It was the first time in the last 28 years that I was able to do so without feeling the stress and pressure of work looming.
