Welcome back to our August series, Rooted in Ephesians.
Today we’re pausing with Ephesians 1:7–10, where Paul writes:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will... to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”These verses are a stunning reminder that your salvation wasn’t cheap. It was bought with the blood of Jesus. He didn’t just redeem your soul—He redeemed your story, your struggles, your body, your entire life.
And when we truly grasp that—when we understand the weight and wonder of being redeemed—it changes how we live today. We no longer use our bodies out of shame, punishment, or neglect. We use them as a form of worship.
We eat, move, rest, and care for ourselves not to earn anything, but in response to everything we've already been given in Christ.
💭 Reflection Question:
Does your current relationship with food and your body reflect gratitude for your redemption—or guilt and striving?
💬 Truth to Speak Over Yourself:
“I am redeemed. I worship God not just with my words, but with my body and choices.”
🙏 Prayer Prompt:
“Jesus, thank You for redeeming me fully and completely. Help me live from that truth today—aligning my choices, my habits, and my health with Your grace, not my guilt.”
