  • Ep. #15: Sexuality, Femininity, Yoga, and Religion with Tara Hughes

Tara is a student, long-time vegan, and yogi who I've been following on Instagram and Tumblr for years. Her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her yoga practice and her life have always really inspired me! One of the reasons I was really excited to talk to Tara is that she's a Christian. I was raised in a strict Christian household which turned me completely off from organized religion, but the Christianity Tara lives and shares isn't the judgmental kind I see around me. One of the topics close to my heart is the judgment and shame the church promotes around sex and the obsession with virginity, all of which we get into. This was such an interesting conversation for me. I hope you enjoy it, too!

  • Ep. #8: Nicole Lindstrom on Living in a Van and Making Her Life an Adventure

This week's episode features Nicole Lindstrom, an amazing author, entrepreneur, yogi, and traveler. She co-authored Wanderlust, A Modern Yogi's Guide to Discovering Your Best Self, founded the travel site GLDMNE, and currently works as the community and content director for Aspen Yoga Society where she lives in Colorado. Nicole has such an interesting story of a journey that includes living in a van for several months and working for Wanderlust! I originally found her work through her articles about living in a van for Wanderlust, which caught my eye since I'll be living in a van for some time in the spring (the articles are linked on www.livingopenshow.com). Nicole is such a great example of someone who follows their curiosity at every opportunity and stays committed to being her authentic self.
