THE ROAD TRIP TO END ALL ROAD TRIPS

At least that is what I would have called it if I were Moses, Joshua or Caleb. 40 years of wandering and waiting, finally taking the trip into the Promised Land. There had been deserts and delays and now they stood at the edge of the Jordan looking at what seemed to be an impossible obstacle.

The 40 Year Road Trip

Can you imagine a road trip that went basically no where and lasted 40 years. Well that's the kind of road trip that israelites took after they refused to go into the land that God had promised! Can you imagine how many times Moses heard: Are we there yet?

Have you ever taken a family road trip where you encounter detours, delays, obstacles and unplanned stops along the way? If so, you can relate to the Israelites who encountered a lot of things on their way to the promised land. God had things for them to learn that can apply to us today.

The Bible tells us that we are in a war that we can't see. But, it also tells us that we can fight in it and stand strong in it. Today we will learn how to fight and stand strong with the Lord's help.

We will look at Ephesians 6:10-24 today.

Paul gives us insight and instruction on how to have a healthy family. The key is submission. A family where everyone realizes that submitting themselves to the Lord is the Key!!

The last part of Ephesians chapter 4 is all about walking out what we talk and living out what we say we believe. It's the practical part of taking off the old self and putting on the new, along with renewing our minds. We are to live a lifestyle that all the world can see!
