The Denver Broncos released veteran QB Joe Flacco on Thursday. The move was considered a failed physical designation which creates around 10 million in cap space but accounts for a $13M dead cap hit for the Broncos to maneuver with during NFL Free Agency or if they wanted to invest that money towards helping sign FS Justin Simmons to a long-term contract.

The Denver Broncos were active during NFL Free Agency at the start of the official league year. The Broncos completed a trade with the Tennessee Titans to bring in defensive lineman Jurrell Casey. Casey, a 5x Pro Bowler, will provide the Broncos with an immediate presence on their defense.
