The Calgary Flames might want to consider aiming for a top pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft after seeing how talented the San Jose Sharks young players are in Tuesday's 6-3 loss. Now seven points back of the Los Angeles Kings and Sharks in the Western Conference wild card, how should Ryan Huska, Rasmus Andersson and Blake Coleman approach the rest of the season.

Calgary plays 7 of its next 8 games at the Scotiabank Saddledome starting Thursday against the Seattle Kraken. The Flames highest draft pick in the last few seasons, Matt Coronato, isn't playing to the level that many of the younger NHL players are.
