Locked On Golden Gophers - Daily Podcast On Minnesota Golden Gophers

Minnesota's number one prospect in the state for the class of 2023, Jaxon Howard, announces his final four teams under consideration and the Gophers make the cut. Why this is important beyond him Jaxon Howard just being from Minnesota.

Do we take head coach PJ Fleck for granted when it comes to his success with the football program? How his record in the Big Ten stacks up with other Gophers coaches. Also how does his winning percentage stack up? Plus postseason successes lead the way in Minnesota as of late.

The disdain for PJ Fleck across the conference and from other outside sources is something to embrace. The disdain and hate is driven from success and confidence. Plus how Fleck's energy is great for recruits both positively and negatively.

On today's Locked On Golden Gophers, host Kane Rob, former collegiate football video coordinator and recruiting assistant, discusses top Minnesota prospect Jaxon Howard's final four decision. Kane then discusses are we taking PJ Fleck's success for granted and why those outside of Minnesota have the disdain for him. Yet also why we need to embrace the hate.

Minnesota Gophers Basketball needs to fill 3 more scholarship spots with their transfer portal options quickly drying up. With the deadline to enter the portal officially passed, where do the Gophers stand with players like Josiah Strong, Kerwin Walton, and Michael Jones.

With the transfer portal top tier options committing relatively quickly, who are some options of players outside of our usual suspects. Taurus Samuels appears to be an option with an official visit set up with the Gophers later this week. Coach Ben Johnson also shows interest in Mikey Watkins.
