The Charlotte Hornets had one of the most bizarre weekends in franchise history, showcasing both their highest highs and lowest lows. First, they erupted for 26 made threes, setting a new team record in a thrilling 145-134 victory over the Spurs. Nick Smith Jr. and LaMelo Ball were electric, draining shots from everywhere and giving fans a glimpse of what the offense can look like when it’s firing on all cylinders. But just as quickly as they found success, it disappeared.

The very next game, the Hornets shot an abysmal 6-of-33 from deep in a brutal 123-88 loss to the Clippers, proving once again that this team’s biggest problem is consistency. Mark Williams was the lone bright spot, but he got no help as Charlotte's offense completely stalled.

The Charlotte Hornets' rollercoaster season hit another low point in their 123-110 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Despite keeping things competitive early, the third quarter once again proved to be their downfall as Trae Young feasted at the free throw line, going a perfect 21-of-21. Charlotte had no answer for Young’s ability to bait defenders into fouls, a problem that has plagued the team all season.

Miles Bridges continued his stellar play, dropping 31 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and proving once again he’s the Hornets’ most reliable scorer. But while Bridges flourished, LaMelo Ball remained stuck in a brutal shooting slump, failing to crack 40% from the field yet again. Is this just a cold streak, or is something bigger going on with Charlotte’s franchise player?

Meanwhile, Josh Green's offensive struggles reached a breaking point, contributing just two points and failing to make an impact.
