A fractured strategy and a costly losing streak that knocked the Islanders out of playoff contention.

Martin unpacks power play woes, a reliance on Ilya Sorokin’s heroics, and vital concerns about defensive depth as the Islanders head into a pivotal offseason. Mailbag questions spotlight Anders Lee’s potential fit on the third or fourth line, defensive lineup challenges, and what moves Matthew Darche must make to boost physicality and team defense. Don’t miss this breakdown of what went wrong and what needs fixing for the New York Islanders to contend next season.
