With Johnny Cueto joining Jeff Samardzija and Madison Bumgarner on the disabled list, it'll be tough without the offense picking things up, especially with the upcoming schedule.

It's Monday, which means the show starts off with Power Rankings to see who had the best week in baseball. Other teams had better records but no team had a better week than the Los Angeles Angels, mostly thanks to Shohei Ohtani. They're at the top this week, but there are some interesting stories behind them, including the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates. 

On Sunday, Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo was ejected for arguing balls and strikes. While confronting the umpire, he made a comment about St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina, which Molina took offense to and pushed his way toward Lovullo creating a bench-clearing situation. Molina wasn't ejected, but should he be fined or suspended? What about Lovullo? Who was the in the wrong? We discuss. 

The final segment is a brief look at Giancarlo Stanton and the Washington Nationals struggling, and which team has the biggest week ahead.

Today's episode looks at Bryce Harper's upcoming free agency and the thought that certain teams might not be interested in him or need him because of prospects or other players blocking him. That's funny, because no prospect is getting in the way of your team being interested in Harper. The same can be said for Manny Machado, despite his slow start to the season. Segment 1 serves as a reminder that every team will be interested in Harper and Machado this offseason. 

Segment 2 looks at the season debut of Adam Wainwright, who is in the final year of his contract. Some Cardinals fans weren't happy he replaced Jack Flaherty in the rotation and Wainwright's performance won't change anyone's mind. It's a bit of a sad end, if this is how it goes for Wainwright this season. We look at how Cubs fans are fortunate they won't have to go through the same process with Jake Arrieta. 

The final segment touches on the injury to Brewers closer Corey Knebel and how it impacts the team moving forward.

Congratulations to Charlie Blackmon, who got paid on Wednesday. Well, he at least signed a contract that is going to get him paid handsomely for the next three years with the potential for cool checks in four years and a fifth after that. 

The Rockies announced the extension, which comes out to five years with $94 million guaranteed. He gets three years before his first player option kicks in at $21 million. The final year is a player option guaranteed at $10 million, with the likelihood it becomes $15 million and the potential to reach $18 million. 

That's a lot of million. 

We break down the deal for Blackmon and the Rockies and then see who might use that as a comparison this offseason. 

The final segment is a quick look at the two starts in New York as the Mets are 4-1 and the Yankees are 4-2. Which start is more impressive? We say the Mets, but it is only five games. The Yankees won't be tested until they play the Red Sox next week before ending April with a tough stretch. The Mets next test comes against the Washington Nationals this weekend.

Dodgers fans may want to skip to segment 2 because our first segment is on Kenley Jansen and his uncharacteristic beginning to the season. His velocity is down, his delivery is out of whack and the results aren't good. After giving up a home run last week to Joe Panik in a loss to the Giants, he blew a 3-run lead against the Arizona Diamondbacks with walks to Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock and a home run to Chris Owings. That's two home runs on the year allowed for Jansen, for those counting at home. The walks are concerning as is the velocity. What does this all mean for the Dodgers? Let's discuss. 

Segment No. 2 covers extra innings and whether or not the league needs to address it. The D-backs and Dodgers played 15 innings on Monday and were a walk-off Jeff Mathis hit away from seeing two position players take the mound to decide the game. Maybe the solution isn't starting a runner at second base, but there is a solution that makes some sense to try. Admittedly, most fans won't be receptive to this unoriginal idea. 

Segment 3 takes a look around the league at Tuesday's game action as Chris Archer looks to stop the Yankees (assuming they play), Kershaw Day is here and the Washington Nationals may never lose.

Monday means the beginning of a new segment. This season, we will have a top-10 power ranking revealed every Monday. It won't be a traditional season-long power ranking. Instead, it'll be a look at who had the best week in baseball by team. From the Nationals at No. 1 to the Giants at No. 10, we go through the teams from last week. 

Then, we try to do the unthinkable and defend Philadelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler. Spoiler: Kapler didn't make our Top 10 this week in the Power Rankings. Kapler was heavily scrutinized this weekend for his managerial decisions, mainly surrounding his bullpen. But three games for a rookie manager won't decide whether or not he's fit for the job or what to expect from the Phillies this season. Mistakes happen, but because Kapler is different than most (all) other managers, he isn't getting any benefit of the doubt. 

The show comes to a close with  few thoughts on the debut of Los Angeles Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani, who picked up his first win in Major League Baseball with a solid performance against the Oakland Athletics.

A few interesting games on Friday night are on the slate, including Johnny Cueto and the Giants against Alex Wood and the Dodgers. Aaron Sanchez taking the mound against the Yankees should be fun to watch, too. But the focus game tonight is the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Colorado Rockies. We explain why the D-backs are facing a trap game and could be in for a letdown.

With Opening Day for the 2018 Major League Baseball season here, Locked On MLB host Tommy Stokke takes you through his official predictions, from award winners to division winners to World Series champion. 

The season preview begins with a run through of all the win totals provided by Bovada as well as where the general public is leaning for each team. The Astros and Dodgers have the highest total at 96.5 wins. The lowest total belongs to the Miami Marlins at 64.5. People love taking the over. It shows in the numbers. 

After going over all of the totals, we look at the five best fake bets. The Dodgers, Giants, Diamondbacks, Reds and Twins are the teams we're taking in one way or another. 

Then, we look at division winners and MVP and Cy Young predictions before ending the show with the World Series call. Be careful, there's a lot of chalk in here.

In today's episode, we recap some of the weekend's big news leading with two significant injuries to the San Francisco Giants and their starting rotation. Madison Bumgarner broke his hand and will miss around two months. Jeff Samardzija will miss about a month with a pectoral injury. Can the Giants survive without them? What will it take. If not, the Giants face an interesting summer with possibly changes coming that could alter the immediate future of the franchise. Those moves should at least be discussed should the season quickly go south. 

Also making news this weekend was the Philladelphia Phillies signing prospect Scott Kingery to a contract extension. Then on Monday, the Arizona Diamondbacks reportedly agreed to an extension with Ketel Marte. What do these extensions mean for the players, teams and future of contracts and free agency? 

The show ends with a quick look at Greg Bird and how the Yankees were smart to sort of prepare for a possible injury, which Bird has now suffered. Other teams may regret not taking advantage of the free agent market in the way the Yankees did.
