The Pittsburgh Steelers have been waiting on Aaron Rodgers and the veteran quarterback was in town this weekend, presumably to sign his contract and join the team. Even if that is the case, adding Rodgers isn't enough for the Steelers to be title contenders, even if they have a strong roster. The New York Jets gave a big deal to running back Breece Hall and while paying a running back big money as a bad team is rarely advisable, the Jets are in a unique situation that makes is wise for them to do so. Finally, the Arizona Cardinals have reportedly informed Jacoby Brissett he will be their starter in 2026, but he is still holding out and the Cardinals allowing themselves to be treated like this by a talent like Brissett is too comical to ignore. Setting up another wasted year for the Cardinals.

Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers face a seismic shift as legendary coaches exit, raising the stakes in the ultra-competitive AFC North. Will the arrival of Jesse Minter in Baltimore and Mike McCarthy in Pittsburgh be enough to keep their teams atop the division? Key questions surround Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Steelers and whether the Bengals or Browns, with additions like Dexter Lawrence and rookie playmaker Casey Concepcion, can capitalize on new opportunities.
Tony Wiggins and Matt Williamson dissect the impact of coaching transitions, the rise of mercenary veterans like Jadeveon Clowney in Baltimore, and the rejuvenation of the Browns’ offense. The conversation extends to NFC contenders including Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive overhaul, plus the Chicago Bears’ search for a game-changing defensive lineman. Who will emerge as the new power in the AFC North, and which teams are poised to surprise the league in 2026?

The Los Angeles Rams had a shaky NFL Draft, starting with the selection of quarterback Ty Simpson, but they still should be Super Bowl favorites. The reigning champion Seattle Seahawks could make an argument, but with the change at offensive coordinator, they sit behind their division rival. In fact, the Denver Broncos look like a complete roster, there is uncertainty about Bo Nix's health, but he is expected to recover in plenty of time to be ready for the season. If that is the case, the Broncos have to have a say in the Top 3. The Houston Texans should be next up. They have the potential to be a sleeping giant in the AFC. After an embarrassing end in 2025, the Texans, with an improved CJ Stroud, could put it all together for a deep run. It has been an offseason of change for the Buffalo Bills, but Josh Allen is so good it is hard to count them out. At some point, the New England Patriots have to be mentioned after getting to the Super Bowl last year and any conversation have to include the expected approval of AJ Brown, but Mike Vrabel's continuing drama casts some doubts when you consider their potential.

New York Jets defy expectations with a methodical rebuild—are better days ahead for Gang Green? Tony Wiggins, Chris Carter, and John Butchko explore how the Jets’ approach to the NFL Draft, coaching staff, and front office shakes up past narratives. Key moves include fortifying the trenches with top draft picks, strategic staff changes, and showing restraint by not forcing a quarterback selection this year.
The episode spotlights how perennial underachievers like the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens are repositioning for the future, questions Brandon Aiyuk’s value amid trade rumors tied to Washington, and debates whether the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams are prioritizing the right windows with superstars like Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford. Will these franchises’ bold decisions finally pay off, or are there more hurdles ahead in the NFL’s high-stakes landscape?

The Houston Texans have been knocking on the door of a major playoff run the last few years, but haven't been able to take that step forward. This past offseason was mostly because of CJ Stroud's turnover. Stroud looks to have slimmed down and he needs to step up for the team to hit their ceiling. The Jacksonville Jaguars had a miraculous turnaround in 2025, but their 2026 offseason leaves a lot to be desired. Jacksonville better have bet right on their internal development. The Indianapolis Colts bet big on Daniel Jones as the new leader of their team, but they sacrificed some of their roster talent to do it. Indy is in more of limbo than they realize or would like to admit. Finally, the Tennessee Titans have added new players and coaches, but the offensive line weakness could still prevent them from getting better.

Green Bay Packers’ playoff ambitions hinge on the return of key stars like Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft, but is Jordan Love ready to lead an offense built on big plays? Tony Wiggins questions whether Matt LaFleur’s aggressive strategies and inconsistent offensive weapons can sustain success, especially with Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs battling ongoing injuries. Can the Packers avoid falling into the trap of overexposing their defense, or do they need a “pedal to the floor” mentality to compete in the NFC North?
Meanwhile, Detroit Lions’ outlook grows uncertain after losing D.J. Reader and several offensive linemen, putting even more pressure on Jared Goff, Sam LaPorta, and Alim McNeil to step up. Tony Wiggins and David Harrison debate if the Lions’ supporting cast is enough to keep Goff out of turnover trouble. The episode also explores the defensive shakeup for the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, with standout rookies and fresh coordinators aiming to reshape each unit’s identity.
