The NFL always throws us curveballs and usually there are teams who impressed in one season only for them to regress the next season and both Super Bowl teams, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, are set to drop off a little in 2026. With a much more difficult schedule for the Pats and the loss of Klint Kubiak for the Hawks, neither team will reach the heights we just saw. The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the big surprises in 2025, but are set for regression in 2026. Although the drop should not look as bad as the Travis Hunter trade looks now with reports he will focus on cornerback full-time going forward. The Philadelphia Eagles needed big change this offseason, but the change they are going to see, offensive coordinator and a potential AJ Brown trade, aren't the right kinds of change to fix their issues. Finally, the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to bring Aaron Rodgers back, but they maxxed out in 2025 with that plan and 2026 will bring less wins. Same for the Indianapolis Colts, who had a great start in 2025 before collapsing in 2026 and with Daniel Jones coming off a major injury, the Colts are not in line to improve next season.

Packers and Lions battle Chicago for NFC North supremacy as Jared Goff and Jordan Love aim to cement their legacies amid shifting team identities. Tony Wiggins and Matt Williamson debate which franchise will thrive by 2026, as questions surround Dan Campbell's physicality-focused approach and the Green Bay Packers’ quest to recapture a mean streak in the trenches. Does Detroit’s high-octane offense outlast tough roster decisions, or will Green Bay’s youth movement carry them back to contending form?
The episode also spotlights head-to-head storylines like Baker Mayfield vs. Jayden Daniels and the coaching showdown between John Harbaugh’s Giants and Jesse Minter’s Ravens. With discussions on Mike Evans’ future, team culture, and how leadership shapes organizational direction, this barbershop-style breakdown explores the real drivers behind NFL success and the franchises most likely to rise—or fall—by 2026.

The NFL season is in a transition period between the end of one season and the beginning of another and now is where you hear rumblings about potential big time decisions like massive trades. Lamar Jackson is unlikely to be dealt, but with a new regime coming to town in Baltimore, the Ravens could look to reset things a bit and if Jackson is dealt, there will be plenty of suitors. Similarly, Joe Burrow's time with the Cincinnati Bengals could be coming to an end and the Minnesota Vikings would move heavy and earth to get him to the northern midwest. Derek Carr's name has made some noise as of late and the New Orleans Saints could look to get some extra draft capital with a trade. The New York Jets make the most sense and there is a connection there. Finally, AJ Brown and Maxx Crosby are big-time trade targets for competitive teams this offseason, but Crosby seems more likely to be dealt than Brown as the Philadelphia Eagles are championship contenders and the Las Vegas Raiders are obviously not.

San Francisco 49ers face yet another offseason shakeup as Raheem Morris steps in as defensive coordinator and Brandon Aiyuk’s future hangs in the balance—can this perennial contender maintain their playoff momentum amid so much change? Tony Wiggins and Chris Carter assess San Francisco’s resilience despite frequent losses of coaches and key free agents, spotlighting veteran performers like Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and Trent Williams. The conversation tackles the 49ers’ front office strategy, Aiyuk trade speculation to the Washington Commanders, and looming roster challenges as the team eyes a return to postseason glory.
Around the league, the focus shifts to Matthew Stafford running it back for the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles grappling with offensive line turnover, and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver hunt. Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive line issues draw scrutiny, while the duo questions which NFL teams can build a winning system for veteran quarterbacks in a changing league landscape.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost in the wild card round even with Justin Herbert having a good season, but with a healthy offensive line and Mike McDaniel as the offensive coordinator, Herbert is ready for an MVP season. The Super Bowl will be in Los Angeles, CA in 2027 and both the teams from LA, the Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams, have a great chance to be the teams playing in the game. First, they will have to make it through the NFL Playoffs and taking an early look at who could make it is an interesting exercise. The New York Giants, New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals all have a chance to bounce back and get in the tournament.

The Atlanta Falcons will reportedly part ways with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, but it could just be a cap mechanism that saves the Falcons money and results in Cousins returning, but treating him as the real starter would be a mistake among many mistakes the Falcons have made at the position as of late. Another old passer in Aaron Rodgers seems like he could return to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but there are better options out there. The Arizona Cardinals could be ready to trade Kyler Murray and if they do, a landing spot with the New York Jets makes the most sense. Tua Tagovailoa could also be on the move, but there aren't as many clean fits with Tua and it could make a tough market for the Miami Dolphins. Finally, two former Tennessee Titans passers, Malik Willis and Will Levis will be looking for new homes this offseason, but which would you rather give a shot to be a franchise quarterback? Luke and Tyler debate.

Defense takes center stage as the Seattle Seahawks shut down the New England Patriots to capture their second Super Bowl title, proving once again that elite defenses can topple top offenses—even without superstar quarterbacks. Tony Wiggins and Ross Jackson break down how defensive-minded coaching and team alignment drove Seattle’s victory, with standout performances from Devon Witherspoon, Derek Hall, and Kenneth Walker III.
The conversation heats up around playoff hopefuls who missed out, including the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions. From dissecting Dallas’ pass rush concerns and Washington’s need for true organizational alignment, to exploring New England’s offensive line woes and Green Bay’s late-game struggles, this episode asks: Can these NFC contenders fix their fundamentals and make a Super Bowl leap in 2026? Don’t miss insights on team-building, tackling woes, and why blocking is the foundation for NFL success.
