Despite what some would consider an "underwhelming" season for the UCLA Bruins football team in 2021, the team still finished with an 8-4 record and a third-place finish in the PAC-12 conference. The Chip Kelly-led Bruins had some remarkable playmakers on offense like Kyle Phillips and Greg Dulcich plus a solid run game powered by guys like Brittain Brown. Unfortunately, all three players, plus offensive lineman Sean Rhyan have since departed to the NFL. The good news? Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is back for his final season in Pasadena, California, as is top running back Zach Charbonnet to power what could be one of the best rushing attacks in college football. While the offense will have no issues scoring points, the biggest question will be whether the defense can hold up its end of the bargain. New defensive coordinator Bill McGovern will hope to get this defense back on track with some key players in Bo Calvert, Gabriel Murphy, and Darius Muasau. If the defense can play just good enough, this offense will have little to no issue throwing up points. By the time the Bruins make their way down to Tempe, Arizona to play the Arizona State Sun Devils football program, how will this game go? Host Richie Bradshaw breaks down the 2022 UCLA Bruins football program and how they stack up against Arizona State Sun Devils football on its edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

Game week is finally here! Arizona State Sun Devils football is finally back, as the team prepares to kick off tomorrow night against the NAU Lumberjacks. The Sun Devils have gone under significant changes since their kickoff a year ago between losing players to the 2022 NFL Draft, the NCAA Transfer Portal, and guys simply running out of eligibility. Among these changes will be a new starting quarterback Emory Jones in his first career game with the Sun Devils. He is joined by a new-look offense that will feature a power run game featuring newcomer Xazavian Valladay and third-year man Daniyel Ngata. Defensively, Arizona State will see some familiar faces manning the middle of the field in team captains Merlin Robertson and Kyle Soelle. The defensive line faces a massive makeover, but stalwarts like Omarr Norman-Lott, Tautala Pesefea Jr., and 2021 leading sack artist B.J. Green will look to generate a consistent pass rush. The secondary will be missing both Timarcus Davis and Jordan Clark for injury reasons, leaving guys like Ed Woods and Ro Torrence in line for large roles. How will the 2022 Arizona State Sun Devils football program start the year? Host Richie Bradshaw breaks down everything you need to know about the game and gives some bold predictions and a final score for this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast!

The Colorado Buffalos football program hasn't been anything to write home about during its stay within the PAC-12 conference, but that doesn't mean they consistently roll over for their competition. Just ask the Texas A&M Aggies football program a year ago how tough the Buffs can make games on you. The storyline should remain relatively similar for Colorado in 2022 after watching 22 key players transfer out of the program last winter thanks to the beloved NCAA Transfer Portal. The Buffalos do have some intriguing young talent to get excited over, including quarterback Brendon Lewis. Lewis may have shown he needs a lot of work to grow, but he also displayed some awesome play-making ability that should give the fans down in Boulder, Colorado some inspiration on offense. Defensively, Colorado will be tasked with incorporating an extremely young secondary, but they seem to like the youngsters available to them. Head coach Karl Dorrell has certainly built a program that will fight you for 60 minutes, but will that continue in 2022? Host Richie Bradshaw gives his analysis on the 2022 Colorado Buffalos football program and how they stack up against our 2022 Arizona State Sun Devils football program for a late-October PAC-12 conference matchup on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

Not too long ago, the Stanford Cardinal football program reigned supreme in the PAC-12 conference and was one of college football's most feared programs. However, the Cardinal has fallen apart recently, and Stanford is now a hollow shell of its former self. David Shaw remains the head coach throughout these hard times, and this should give Cardinal fans hope for a turnaround in the program soon rather than later. There are plenty of aspects to like about Stanford Cardinal football, including quarterback Tanner McKee. McKee showed off exceptional talent in his first season as a starter in Palo Alto, California, and another season behind a good offensive line and weapons like Benjamin Yurosek and Elijah Higgins could see him take that next step forward. Defensively, it doesn't get much lower than what the Cardinal put out in 2021, but a new-look defensive scheme and the return of stars like Kyu Blu Kelly may be able to right the ship in 2022. As for its matchup with the Arizona State Sun Devils football program in week eight, the game may be closer than last year's bout. The Sun Devil decimated and embarrassed the Cardinal 28-10 and picked apart everything that Stanford tried to do. Could that be different in 2022 with the game returning to Palo Alto? Host Richie Bradshaw gives his thoughts on this game for our continued breakdown series of the 2022 Arizona State Sun Devils football schedule on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

No step in the NFL Draft process has seen an increase in popularity that the Resse's Senior Bowl has over the last decade+. Under executive director Jim Nagy, the Senior Bowl has become one of, if not the most crucial points of the NFL Draft process and has assembled what feels like an All-Star game for college football's top senior/graduating players. Recently, the official Senior Bowl website released its preseason watchlist of nearly 500 players, which included three Arizona State Sun Devils football stars: Emory Jones, LaDarius Henderson, and Nesta Jade Silvera. These three portray some intriguing upside for the Sun Devils in 2022 and could all play major roles in the team's success. There are, however, a handful of players we wish could also get recognition, such as Cam Johnson, Xazavian Valladay, Travez Moore, Merlin Robertson, Kyle Soelle, Khoury Bethley, and other guys, as well. Host Richie Bradshaw breaks down the list and why the guys down in Mobile, Alabama should be keeping an eye out for more Sun Devils in Tempe, Arizona on this bonus edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast!

The Washington Huskies football program is coming off an uncharacteristic 4-8 season in 2021. The Huskies' offense struggled to do much of anything while the defense couldn't stop a nosebleed. Things weren't much better with the Jimmy Lake drama, but the recently successful program has moved forward and looks to a brighter future under new offensive-minded head coach Kalen DeBoer. Joining DeBoer, who spent the last two seasons coaching the Fresno State Bulldogs, will be a cast of misfits including former Indiana quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. Washington will also be banking on guys like Jalen McMillan and Rome Odunze to build off successful freshman campaigns. There is also the intriguing storyline of whether or not Jaxson Kirkland can return to form at left tackle after a devastating injury a year ago. Defensively, it appears to be more of the same for the Huskies, and not in a good way. The defense has to cope with the losses of linebacker Jackson Sirmon and defensive backs Kyler Gordon and Trent McDuffie while returning a crew that largely underwhelmed in 2021. While there is some intriguing young talent on the defensive line with Vio Tunuufi and Faatui Tuitele returning, the defense will be largely based on what transfer linebacker Cam Bright can accomplish in his likely only season with the program, while a secondary of Alex Cook and Asa Turner hopes to rebound. How does all of this play into week six's game against our Arizona State Sun Devils football program? Don't count this is a guaranteed win, says host Richie Bradshaw, as we break down why the Washington Huskies football program could give the Sun Devils more fits than we'd like to see on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.

The world is ready to crown the 2022 USC Trojans football program as the definitive champions of the PAC-12 conference and with some good reason. New head coach of the program, Lincoln Riley, left a great situation with the Oklahoma Sooners football program to bring USC back to its former glory and brought in quite the cast of weapons with him, including star quarterback Caleb Williams and reigning Fred Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison to power what could be an extraordinary offense. Defensively, the Trojans leave much to be desired despite some great talents like defensive linemen Stanely Ta'ufo'ou and Tuli Tuipulotu. With an offense seemingly destined for greatness and a defense just hoping to get the job done, how will the USC Trojans fair in 2022? More importantly, how will our beloved Arizona State Sun Devils football team stack up when they go to LA in October? USC may be Goliath, but host Richie Bradshaw thinks that Arizona State could be David and pull off a massive upset. Listen in to our thoughts on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast!

As we stroll through the 2022 Arizona State Sun Devils football schedule, we arrive at the beginning of PAC-12 conference play with a home game against the Utah Utes. Utah is the reigning PAC-12 champions and is entering the 2022 season as the no.7 team in the AP top-25 poll, and rightfully so. The Utes, as coached by the great Kyle Wittingham, are led by 2021 First-Team All-PAC-12 quarterback Cameron Rising and a powerful run game that will give opposing defenses nightmares. Coupled with a great offensive line and dynamic tight ends in Brant Kuithe and Dalton Kincaid, the Utes will be able to drain opposing defenses of their will and dictate the pace of the game. Defensively, Utah must cope with the loss of PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Year Devin Lloyd, but the depth and youth here are outstanding. PAC-12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year Junior Tafuna will become the face of this defense in just his second season, but he will be helped by stars in the making, Cole Bishop and Clark Phillips III, in the secondary. With so much talent and one of the greatest coaches in college football guiding this team, do the Arizona State Sun Devils have a chance to topple the goliath of the PAC-12? It would certainly take a lot, but miracles happen every day. Check out host Richie Bradshaw's analysis of the 2022 Utah Utes football program and his thoughts on how Arizona State Sun Devils football matches up!
