José Miranda was one of the brightest spots of the Twins season in 2023. After struggling upon his call, Miranda put together an incredible stretch where he hit .335/.374/.571 (.946 OPS) over a 50-game stretch in the middle of the summer. Miranda, 24, is already a good Major League hitter but is there more within him? Could he become a true All-Star player worth 4-5 wins every season? Let's break it down!

Alex Kirilloff came through the Twins' system as a consensus top-25 global prospect in the world. His smooth left-handed swing was enough for the Twins to select him in the first round in 2016. Kirilloff crushed the minors in 2018 before wrist problems and the Covid shutdown plagued him for what has been the last four seasons. Kirilloff underwent an invasive surgery to hopefully fix the wrist once and for all, but the Twins shouldn't rely on him as a surefire bet to provide value in 2023. Here's why.

The Minnesota Twins struggled mightily down the stretch in 2022, failing to score runs and prevent them to boot. One shining bat in their lineup was in the hands of Nick Gordon, who rode a strong second half to a very good season. Gordon recorded 41 extra-base hits while appearing in 136 games for the injured Twins, driving in key runs and staying consistent. Was Gordon's season legit and can we expect the same moving forward? What's his best role in 2023?

Carlos Correa is heading for free agency at a very opportune time. He just turned 28 years old and has produced back-to-back 5+ win seasons per baseball reference. Correa is joining a shortstop class with three other prominent options in Xander Bogaerts, Trea Turner and Dansby Swanson. Will Correa earn the same contract Corey Seager signed last winter? Or will the market prove cold for the second year in a row?

Luis Arraez, the 2022 American League batting champion, made a defensive shift early in the season with a move to first base. He was fairly solid at the spot, but should the Twins consider moving him again to find a true long-term home? Plus, the Twins started their 40-man roster moves as Jake Cave, Jermaine Palacios and Caleb Hamilton were claimed by other clubs today. Let's break it all down!

One of the bigger questions for the Twins this offense is who mans third base in 2023. Gio Urshela did a nice job at the position in 2022, producing three Wins Above Replacement and hitting .285/.338/.429 in 144 games. Urshela is entering his final year of arbitration at an estimated salary of $9.2 million, per MLB Trade Rumors. Should the Twins tender and trade Urshela or hand the position to their young batsman José Miranda? Let's break down the decision from every angle.
