The Minnesota Vikings made a splashy move at the trade deadline, sending a 2023 2nd and 2024 3rd to the Detroit Lions for T.J. Hockenson, a 2023 4th and a conditional 2024 4th (it becomes a 5th if the Vikings win a playoff game this year). It replaces Irv Smith Jr., who is on IR with a high ankle sprain and figures to be out for several weeks, if not months. It sort of pushes him out of the Vikings' long term plans, but that might be okay, if Hockenson is the one who replaces him. We'll also talk to Matt Dery of Locked On Lions, who isn't very happy to see the former top 10 pick walk across the division.

The Minnesota Vikings offense finally started to click, at least for a time on Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray threw two interceptions, and in addition to a muffed punt, the Vikings had simply too many opportunities.
