But most of this has to do with the defense. What happened to the Vikings' blitzes versus Aaron Rodgers? They blitzed 20 times, and Green Bay was able to neutralize it. The Vikings' season opener was a disaster on a whole bunch of fronts. The defensive line was worked by an injured offensive line, the corners were worked by Davante Adams and his bandmates, Aaron Rodgers was the most comfortable he's ever been in U.S. Bank Stadium, and the offense melted down drive after drive, offering very little resistance toward the worst performance Mike Zimmer's Vikings have spit out since 2014. We have a lot of pieces to pick up, so we'll put a pin in the Dalvin Cook extension talk for now and try to examine where we go from here.
