The Minnesota Wild fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-4 to start off a 7 game homestand. The Wild are now 2-5-1 so far at the Xcel Energy Center in 2023. The Wild fell behind 2-0 early in the first period, but thanks to goals by Brandon Duhaime and Joel Eriksson Ek 12 seconds apart they were able to tie the score at 2. The Penguins made it 3-2 and then 4-2 before Eriksson Ek scored his second goal of the night. The Penguins had 2 power play goals and held the Wild Power Play from scoring. The Wild will host Carolina on Thursday.
