The Minnesota Wild won their 4th straight game as they beat the Calgary Flames 5-2 to start a 4 game road trip. The Wild improved to 4-0 under new head coach John Hynes and started the game with a goal from Marcus Foligno to take a 1-0 lead. Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy scored minutes into the second to increase the lead to 3-0. After the Flames cut the lead to 4-1, Boldy scored his second goal of the game to make it 4-1. The Flames scored in the third period to cut the lead back to 4-2, but Joel Eriksson Ek scored his 12th goal of the season to cap the scoring. Filip Gustavsson stopped 28 of 30 shots and the Wild Penalty Kill kept the Flames off the board to seal the win. The Wild play at Vancouver on Thursday to continue the road trip.
