The Minnesota Wild grabbed a 1-0 series lead after a 3-2 Double Overtime win against the Dallas Stars in game 1 of their opening round playoff series. The Wild broke the record for longest game in franchise history at 4 hours 12 minutes, and got the game winning goal from Ryan Hartman on an odd bounce behind Jake Oettinger. The Wild took a 1-0 lead on a Power Play goal from Kirill Kaprizov. After Dallas scored 2 straight goals, Sam Steel scored on a breakaway to tie the score after 2 periods. Despite 2 Dallas Power Plays in Overtime, the Wild were able to keep the game scoreless until Hartman's game winner. Filip Gustavsson stopped 51 of 53 shots for the win. Game 2 is Wednesday in Dallas.
