The Minnesota Wild were dealt a fatal blow to their playoff hopes in a 6-1 loss to the Nashville Predators Thursday night in Nashville as the Wild fell 8 points behind the Predators for the second Wild card spot with 21 games to go. The Wild actually scored the first goal of the game as Connor Dewar scored his 9th goal of the season, but the Predators answered with 2 goals in 8 seconds to take a 2-1 lead. The Wild would give up 4 goals in the second and third period as they fell to 2-9 against Nashville, Winnipeg, Dallas and Colorado this season. Filip Gustavsson allowed 6 goals on 31 shots, and the Wild special teams went 0-3 on the Power Play and allowed a goal on the Penalty Kill. The Wild are at St. Louis on Saturday for their next game.
