The Minnesota Wild lost both ends of a home and home to the Winnipeg Jets by following up a 4-2 loss in Winnipeg with a 3-2 loss at Xcel Energy Center to close out the 2023 portion of the schedule. The Wild took an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Marcus Foligno, his 6th of the year. The Wild briefly had a 2-0 lead, but Ryan Hartman's goal was waived off due to offsides. The Jets tied the score at 1 in the second period. The Wild regained the lead in the 3rd on a goal by Freddy Gaudreau, but the Jets scored 2 straight to finish the scoring and seal the win. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 26 of 29 shots in his 1000th career game, but the Wild were unable to get him his 551st career win which would have tied him for 2nd all time with Patrick Roy. The Wild will host Calgary for their next game. No updates on either Kirill Kaprizov or Filip Gustavsson, but John Hynes said he hopes to have an update on their status going forward on Tuesday.
