The Minnesota Wild picked up their third straight win as they beat Washington 5-3 at Xcel Energy Center Tuesday night. The Wild opened the scoring on Brock Faber's 4th goal of the season, and his fifth straight game with a point. Faber continues to climb the leaderboard among Wild rookie defensemen, as he is now 3rd all time in single season points among Wild rookie defensemen with 28. Marcus Foligno scored his 8th goal of the season to make it 2-0 after the first. The Wild made it 3-0 in the second on Marcus Johansson's 7th goal of the season. After the Capitals scored to make it 3-1, Joel Eriksson Ek scored to make it 4-1. Johansson scored his second goal of the game to make it 5-1. The Capitals scored two late goals to make it interesting, but weren't able to complete the 4 goal comeback. Filip Gustavsson stopped 31 of 34 shots for the win. The Wild host Nashville on Thursday for their next game.
