Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down the Rivers addition, as well as some thoughts on Wendell Moore Jr., Josh Minott, Kevon Harris, and Terrell Brown Jr. in Las Vegas Summer League.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a deep and versatile roster, and head coach Chris Finch will have a variety of options this fall when it comes to his rotation. He'll have the ability to play big or go small with an impressive array of shooters, as the Wolves front office clearly identified some bench lineup combinations that worked well last year. An under-the-radar free agency acquisition should be a plug-and-play option to replace a former Wolves player who was jettisoned this offseason.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a couple of roles they're still looking to fill this offseason, and rookies Wendell Moore Jr. and Josh Minott just might be auditioning for them in Las Vegas Summer League. Who will take the energetic frontcourt role now that Jarred Vanderbilt is gone? What about the final wing rotation spot and the third-string point guard job? Will the Wolves fill them internally based in part on summer performance, or will they add veterans? Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down the questions in light of summer league play thus far.

Don't worry about Rudy Gobert's fit in the Minnesota Timberwolves' offense -- it will be far more natural than many seem to believe. There will be plenty of options with both Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns on the floor, and the offense won't have any limitations that the Wolves aren't already familiar with. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down Gobert's fit on offense, plus the Bryn Forbes signing and where the Wolves' new-look depth chart currently stands.

New Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Rudy Gobert is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, but the idea persists that he was the reason the Utah Jazz frequently fell short in the playoffs. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down why the Wolves defense will be better than the Jazz defense was with Gobert, and what issues in Utah caused Gobert to be the scapegoat. What coverages will the Timberwolves play this year, and how much more flexible will Chris Finch's defense be with the immense size and length that he'll have on the floor?
