Guys, the 30th episode is here and you are going to just LOVE it. Anuvybe (pronounced "A New Vibe", btw) joined us in our first all-female interview and boy did the 'vybe hit. This neo-soul hip hop trio from Cleveland is shaking the city with their powerful vocals and moving lyrics. Their harmonies and light, feel-good beats combined with poetry, rap and words of affirmation gives this dynamic group an added layer that resonates with people of many backgrounds and will fill a void you may not have known was missing in you.
In this one, we clear the air with a confession that has been weighing on our hearts for a while now, discuss writing songs as children featuring our favorite artists, and remember that you don't always have to be seen to be noticed. The word of the day is boisterous, and PSA for everyone out there to support local musicians and artists (in case we haven't made that clear yet), and reminder that support comes in many forms.
Please follow Anuvybe on Instagram and be sure to check out their latest single "Winning Season" on all streaming platforms! linktr.ee/_anuvybe_

Happy, happy Sunday! We are really in the thicket of summer now, y'all. We invited our friends Rent For Cheryl to the LG Studio to catch up since our first interview with them back in 2021 on the LoCLE Grown Marathon on 88.3 The Sting.
Rent for Cheryl is a passionate band with members who have diverse musical styles, and when they come together on stage, they bless your ears with a fusion of jazz, rock, blues, pop - whatever the vibe calls for - they match and exceed. In this episode, we get a very rare acoustic performance from them at the end, but not before we discuss writing songs vs free styling, the amazing Rialto theatre, and the indisputable fact that DRAGONFLY IS AN OXYMORON???
From Akron, OH, Rent for Cheryl has been migrating more into the Cleveland sector with an upcoming performance next month at The Beachland Ballroom and will be releasing three singles leading up to this show at the end of August.
This one hit closer to home than usual for us as we have all seen each other grow our passions (one might even say...LoCLE Grown), and it was an absolute honor to be able to sit at the table again and not only talk music but hear what they have been cooking up lately.
For the latest and greatest with this band, follow Rent for Cheryl on Instagram, and be sure to keep an eye out for the next three singles coming your way this summer! But, to tide you over, you can stream their latest album "Crunch" here!

It's July!! In this episode, we sat down with Eliy Orcko, a jazz & rap artist originally hailing the sunny state but now resides on the farrr west side of Cleveland (s/o Elyria). The last time we sat down with them was almost 4 years ago on the early days of LG!
We got to chat about Eliy's European tour, a cool interaction with a listener from the other side of the world, and even starting their very own record label! Check out how Eliy breaks down the backstory and meaning of their biggest song (so far) “WHATEVER!”, but most importantly, we talked Pop Tarts and also found the true meaning behind MGK’s song “Wild Boy”.
Find Eliy and fight them by following them on Instagram, and be sure to keep an eye out for their new record label, We Good Records!

On Paper - available to play at your next prom, birthday, wedding, bar mitzvah, or Toyota-thon - are FULL of energy for the mellow-indie vibes they bring in their music. In this chat, we talk about how showing your music to your band mates is essentially like farting in front of your partner in the first few months of dating - don't JUDGE.
We also get into Julia vs Brutus the OSU mascot, the band going on tour for the first time, and their 2022 album "Living Proof". Finally, we cracked open the heartfelt story of a boy...and a sandwich. Topping it all off with a killer performance, this episode is great both On Paper and In Your Ears!!
Check out On Paper through their website and Instagram, and go to their Linktree for the most up to date info! Thanks, again, On Paper! And soft plug for @Sophiaplaysbrass - give this page a follow!

Happy Father's Day! Coincidentally, on Mother's Day weekend last month, we switched it up by catching a chat with Kind Of Consistent founder, Riley Furey. Kind of Consistent (KOC) is an organization based in Cleveland that started as a source to share great music and deep cuts but over the past year has grown into a music blog, merchandise and production company not only for Cleveland musicians but also bands outside of the state.
Riley gave us insight into the KOC brand and who has inspired him to take this dream to the next level. We also discuss Laurel Live vs Wonderstruck, and of course had to highlight some of his top picks when it comes to Cleveland musicians and why (peep Episode 24 with Jack Harris btw). As LoCLE Grown, we really resonate with the KOC brand as both of us are all about providing a platform and resources for artists who are still finding their voice. While KOC has many facets, Riley is at the point where he is "calibrating the perfect storm" and musicians anywhere can utilize him for promotion, events, production and merch so HIT HIM UP. But also, make sure to gently shame him for not knowing "Where's the Chaptstick"...
Keep up with Kind of Consistent on their website and Instagram, and go to their Linktree for the most up to date info! Thanks, again, for the 5th time, Riley :)

Another beautiful Sunday at Rock & Roll Studios and we are joined with The Last Witch, a psychadelic, metal-inflused band that keeps the energy up and it ain't never coming down.
In this episode, we tip our hats to the "F*ck Yeah"s of this world, discuss the influence various substances have on musical abilities, and overall feel the rain on our skin. Even better, we get some awesome stories from their time playing at LA's famous Whiskey a Go Go and a terrifying incident involving guitarist Reese when they had a show in North Carolina...WOOF.
Follow The Last Witch and check out their debut self-titled album "The Last Witch" available everywhere and TELL US WHICH SONG HAS THE BONGOS???

Happy Sunday, y'all! We sat down in the LG Studio with Cleveland pop artist Jack Harris and got real deep talking about the weirdest dreams we ever had, his on-set injury during the recording of his newest music video "Bad News (Mona Lisa)", and his father starting beef with Flo Rida (Mr. Rida, you have 24 hours to respond). We also uncover Jurbz's Jameson-related injury, and all agree that when it comes to local music, Cleveland is where its at. Check out the performance at the end, where we get to hear 2 unreleased tracks!
Check out Jack's latest stuff right here and give him a follow! Thanks again, Jack, for your time and we cannot wait to hear the next single!

In this episode we ended the debate on if Solon or Laird would win in an arm wrestling match. (We won't tell ya who- you gotta find out yourself).
On an equally important note, we discussed how necessary star shaped Uncrustables are for her rider, the stories behind the bits, and a deep talk about females in the music industry. Solon broke down the story for us behind her most popular song "Lover", and she's also throwing a Fest right here in our beloved city on June 10th! Click here for more information and tickets!
Huge thanks to Solon for joining us in the studio! Go follow her right fricken' here!

Annnnnd we are back at it for the second drop of season 3! In this episode, we were joined by Billy Muscatello of Two Mile Moon!
He joined us in our new studio to talk about his journey so far in the Cleveland music scene, and we chatted about how quantity can make quality, but consistency is key! Also if you didn't know, delivering Chick-Fil-A can inspire some of the BEST lyrics (our pleasure, lol). And, maybe one day we can get our shovels and dig up some old lyrics from the graveyard of our Notes App.
Make sure you go bump Two Mile Moon's music available anywhere you stream! And be sure to look our for some new singles dropping along with an EP or album in the near future.
Thank you again to Billy for joining us in the studio! Go follow him here!

WELCOME TO SZN 3! We are absolutely stoked to be in our VERY OWN SPOT this season at Rock & Roll City Studios in Cleveland! We are really doing the damn thing, folks. If you haven't seen the studio yet, please check it out on our Instagram and let us know what you think!
We kicked off the season and this ~new vibe~ with our boys from Cleveland, C-Level! Listen in as we discuss how every city has a "cave venue" (Cleveland's is, of course, the Grog Shop), the traits of a good producer (hint: it's PATIENCE), and the beauty of DIY's & Open Mics (both the events and the opening song on their newest album called Think for Yourself).
Think for Yourself is out NOW and is truly a "communal album" featuring lots of amazing artists including Lea Marra, Cellophane Jane, and The Quasi Kings! These are some of the artists who worked with C-Level through 2020 on fundraisers and creative shows through the pandemic - but you can hear more on all this by tuning in!
Thank you, C-Level! And thank you, to all who have supported LG through it's many phases, we have lots of great interviews, performances, and surprises coming your way this year so keep it locked!
Follow C-Level and listen to their new album Think for Yourself, available everywhere!
