  • BONUS Episode: LoCLE Grown LIVE at Crobar!

Ayyy SURPRISE we have one more episode for you before we wrap up the year! It's a day before Thanksgiving as this is releasing and we wanted to say how thankful we are for everyone who has listened and supported LG this year. When our first episode dropped in April, we had no idea where this would go next. Putting together a marathon that was supposed to be on the radio and ended up becoming our entire second season was one of the best things that could have happened to us and we are SO EXCITED for even more shenanigans in 2023!

After the marathon on 8/18, we were asked by our friend Mikey Silas to do a live recording of the podcast at Crobar in Cleveland on 9/6. This has not been done before at Crobar, nor have we done this before in front of an audience and with our own equipment. We recruited two artists who we thought would be great for this show, Corry Michaels and Dragaan. Both brought their A-game and the live audience loved it as much as we did!

Then, to top it all off, we chatted with the new owner of Crobar, Gerad Gudhe in an impromptu interview where we get to learn more about the underground bar itself and the ideas behind it and looking ahead. One thing here: please forgive us for the technical issues that ensued in these last 10 minutes. We ain't saying we're perfect by any means!! Not yet at least...

We are truly honored to have made as many connections as we have this year, while hopefully making people smile and learn some new music that's close to home! We will see you next year with a bigger and better season and artists you're going to absolutely love!

Something cool is always happening at Crobar any day of the week, check out their website for more information! And if you like what you hear today, follow Corry Michaels and Dragaan on IG, websites here:

  • Ep. 19 - Kwas-E Raps Up The LoCLE Grown Marathon

Friends, loved ones, we are gathered here today to celebrate the end of a momentous day - The 2022 LoCLE Grown Marathon. Closing us off for the day is experimental hip hop artist Kwas-E and shout out to this guy for holding down this interview while we were absolutely zonkers by the end of this 14-hour streak of interviews and performances. Here, we reminisce about youtube to mp3 converter websites and tie dye eye contacts. We also run through his recent releases including a lyric video, and his latest EP Birds of a Feather.

For real, guys, this was an awesome experience and as Jurbs puts it best, it was "all pretty damn good". Thank you to everyone who tuned into this special day and all season, we hope maybe you found your new favorite artist! We have one bonus episode for y'all coming soon but that just about wraps up the 3rd Annual LG 'Thon.

Follow Kwas-E and find the new tape dropping this December! linktr.ee/kwas_e216

  • Ep. 18 - Aki: A Message to All Entrepreneurs and Artists

We get real deep in this episode as one does when they get into the ~Late Night Hours~. We sat with Aki of Downhill Collective at 9pm on the LG 'Thon and talked about his new 12-song album dropping soon and the importance of self-love when you are looking to achieve your dreams. It could be the long day or that we are sensitive gals out here, but Aki has a message that just wells us up in emotions and we also give Tae our security guard who was rockin' with us all day a huge, well-deserved shoutout!

Follow Aki and find the new music dropping on all platforms SOON.

  • Ep. 17 - Kompass Knows The Way

We had been going 12 hours in the LoCLE Grown Marathon by the time this interview came around, and Kompass really brought the giggles out of us. This prog. rock band from Cleveland exudes energy and creativity, while never taking themselves too seriously. In the 8pm hour of the LG 'Thon, we talk to Kompass about their origins, 3D printing their own equipment(???), a new music video, and their 10-song album dropping very soon. At times, we lose our direction (pun intended), but it does make for a great interview!

Follow Kompass and find their new music dropping on all platforms. And if you're feeling daring, you can find them on LimeWire, we won't tell ;) linktr.ee/KompassRocks

  • Ep. 16 - (Mid)West Coast Vibes with The Rosies

Keeping the energy going, we sat with The Rosies at 7pm for the LoCLE Grown Marathon. These guys are bringing Lake Erie Surf Punk BACK, BABY (oh, you didn't know we had Surf music in Cleveland? Look up The Euclid Beach Band). In this one, we learn about how the band literally started from scratch and hadn't even played their instruments before coming together and we uncover some things that others in the band didn't even know! Among other things, tequila, surfing, and performing with personal heroes comes up in the discussion as well. This was an awesome time, and we hope you enjoy it, too!

Check out The Rosies new single Walworth Avenue (at the end of this interview and on all streaming platforms) and make sure to follow them to stay up to date on their newest stuff! DEBUT ALBUM DROPPING 11/11/22. Save it here!

  • Ep. 15 - Dive Bombs: I'm an adult, MOM.

Well, folks! We have finally made it to the ~evening hours~ of the LoCLE Grown Marathon, which took place all day at The House of Blues Cambridge Room on 8/18/22. Taking us into the night is Jamie from Dive Bombs!!

This episode was a beautiful combination of music talks and shenanigans. Last time we connected with Dive Bombs, Jamie and Zack were playing for us on our LoCLE Grown From Home Series and mid-song the power went out (that didn't stop them from jamming for about 25 more minutes, lol!). So when we finally got to meet Jamie in person, the result is this derailed-yet-on-track conversation that leads to an awesome performance at the end! REALLY makes a gal wanna buy a leather jacket ;)

Check out their Covers, Baby! EP and newest song "Cleveland" on all streaming platforms, everything right here: linktr.ee/DiveBombsMusic

  • Ep. 14 - Equally Itching with The Fiddle Revolt

The Fiddle Revolt kicked off the 4pm hour with high energy and lots of laughs. In this episode, we dive into the many different flavors of The Fiddle Revolt, blame Nigel for everything, and may even answer the question, "Got all these lemons, where the hell is the lemonade?". One thing is for sure: the people and the bands are both Equally Itching to be at live shows. The Fiddle Revolt is a 5-piece band who come together over the love of music, and their new song may start some beef with Randy Newman, but that's the risk they're willing to take!

  • Ep. 13 - Who Saved Who Made Who Made Who

That title is not confusing at all, listen to the episode and you'll be in on it too ;)

Who Saved Who from Cleveland is a group of 4 rad dudes who clearly hate each other as it is evident throughout the entirety of this interview. In the 3pm hour of the LoCLE Grown Marathon, they joined us to talk about their album that was released earlier this year, "Sharing the Daytime Moon", as well as what it was like to finally have the band where they wanted it to be in with the right members in the right place. This was a big year for the band, where they performed at Brite Winter Fest and joined Cleveland Verses Vol. 4 in their AC/DC tribute album. More to come this year, including some gigs at the end of this month!

Follow WSW on Instagram, and here is a link to all their newest stuff!

  • Ep. 12 - Chase Johanson on Being More of Yourself

In our 12th episode and 5th hour of the LoCLE Grown Marathon at The House of Blues Cambridge Room, we had an interesting chat with Medina's own Chase Johanson. From seeing him on the PAC's stage at the talent show, to seeing him on TV, Chase shares his experiences with moving out to LA and performing on competition shows such as American Idol while learning from some of the most talented people in the industry right now.  At the end of the day, he still comes back home to help his family mulch and is accompanied by his long-time friend and childhood neighbors (hey, that's familiar) in this interview and performance.

Listen as Chase announces something BIG happening for him next year, listen to his newest single and title track of his upcoming album, King of Something.

“We’re a true Cleveland band, if you don’t like the weather just wait 10 minutes”.

At noon, we had 2-time Best of Cleveland Male Vocalist Mikey Silas of Apostle Jones in The Cambridge Room at The House of Blues Cleveland. Post-dentist and hopped up on Novocaine, Mikey shared his story of when he returned to Cleveland in 2016 and saved his world. He also tells us about how he came to host consistent open mic/ artist incubator nights at Crobar on St. Clair - later this season we will be posting our interviews from our live podcast recording at one of these Crobar events that took place 9/6/22!
