LoCLE Grown

Serving another one hot and fresh for ya! In hour 4 of our all-day pod-a-thon (just trying it out), we talked to the only band we've interviewed for all 3 of our marathons, The Baker's Basement! This lovely duo moved to a new home after almost a decade in their first home together, and with this move comes a whole new album commemorating it! We forced them to do our favorite song mid-interview and discuss the best way to do a heist (hint: clipboards), its all here and more, so check it out!

Listen to their new album "Wild, Wild, Sheep", out September 30th and make sure to follow The Baker's Basement to stay up to date on what they're doing next!

On this episode of LG the POD, we had the pleasure of chatting with the duel female fronted Cleveland band, LILIEAE! We sat down with Lydia Puccini and Kayleigh Hyland to talk about what they've been up to since we spoke with them last in 2019. From growing into a five-piece band, playing tons of shows including one out of state, and to having their song "Take Me Home" featured on the show Ridiculousness, we think it's safe to say they've been making MOVES.

"Rock solid bops, no flops."

In the second hour of our all-day marathon on 8/18 at The House of Blues in Cleveland, we sat down with Evan Schonauer, John Polace, Anthony Liotta, and Owen Barba, the people of People in the Daytime! We got to hear from them on how they came together as a group and have been rockin' out since 2018, how Eric Andre inspired their band name, and also being "mosh responsible".

Make sure give them a follow and catch them performing at Mahall's with Winona Forever on 9/28!

"We just go Buck."

As his name describes, James Begin kicked off our 14-hour marathon on 8/18 at The House of Blues in Cleveland and is the featured artist for the second episode of Season 2! Accompanied by his boys Tobyraps (peep episode 2 to hear allllll about him) and Chris Dicola (who has gotten honorable mentions now in two of our episodes), James talks about his experiences over the last decade as a solo hip hop artist and as a vocalist/ trombone player for Cleveland's own Tropidelic.

Coming off of a tour with 311 this month, James will be doing shows here in Cleveland this fall (including one 10/1 at Mahall's!) and dropping a tape with Tobyraps and Chris Dicola soon!

We're back!!! Ya know, Cleveland can be so damn overwhelming sometimes! With something new popping up on the daily, it's hard to know where to start when it comes to where to shop, eat, hang out, sight see, you name it. ENTER: Katie and Kyle, co-founders of popular Instagram accounts Cleveland Vibes and Cleve or Leave. We joined these two for a chat and dove head-first into their exciting tales behind these accounts that reach thousands of people daily. Similar to us, they have a great balance of what each brings to the table, bonded by the love of Cleveland (& each other - did we mention they are married?!).

This episode kicks off the second season of LoCLE Grown the Podcast, the majority of which will feature interviews and performances from our 3rd annual LoCLE Grown Marathon, raw and uncut from The Cambridge Room at House of Blues Cleveland. New episodes dropping Sundays and Thursdays now through October!

This episode is one for the BOOKS. Perhaps, even, the history books?? In Episode 5, we do a nice deep dive into history of all kinds with Gavin Coe, owner of the Coe History Guitar and Laird's FIRST friend ever - reunited after 18 years! Gavin tells us all about the most unique guitar we've ever seen, one he (with the help of his family and friends) made by hand to represent the long line of history within his family (check out his full-length documentary on YouTube). Then, he proceeds to play said guitar with the talented other half of Black and Coe, Reese Black! We have never been so happy hearing the blues.

In our third episode of LG the Pod, we happened to switch things up a bit!

Instead of interviewing one of our favorite local bands or artists, we decided to interview EACH OTHER (gasp) and give our listeners a bit of insight on who we are as individuals and why we started this heckin' show in the first place! We take you through the timeline on where we met, growing up playing music together, and how the start of LoCLE Grown began. Thanks for tuning into this very silly and chaotic episode. We hope you enjoy meeting the hosts!

Make sure to follow us on socials so you can get all the updates on what we'll be up to for the rest of 2022!

Ayy it's Episode 2 of LG the Pod (if you will)! We sat with Tobyraps and talked about his history leading up to this point, including naked performances, LA pay-to-play gigs, and writing and releasing 3 albums in 3 years. He also gives us a taste of a new song that BEGS for Lil Dicky to feature on, and shares stories of how his radiant personality came to be. Tobyraps is a positive vessel who channels his high-energy into killer tunes! He is dropping 6 singles this year, most recently "More In Love Than Afraid", catch it everywhere anywhere!
