A LOT went down these last two weeks. We said goodbye to a key group member, we got some answers about what "our group" has been through and what happened at the Diamond, and found out that Naomi is actually Laura - our beloved John Dorie's lost lover! Now the group has parted ways and we'll get to see many stories unfold as the season continues. 

 

We also made an announcement this week that we will no longer be recording on Fear the Walking Dead, but you can still tweet us your thoughts about each week's episode as we will continue to tune in on a more casual basis. We will be returning in the fall to cover season 9 of The Walking Dead so check back with us in a few months!

So much has changed with "our group" (we still cringe at the thought of calling them our own!) and we have a ton of questions. For starters, since when is Maddie so welcoming and trying to be so warm & fuzzy? Why is Nick afraid of the outside world - what happened to him to get him to this? Holy crap what a Sunday this was! We FINALLY see an end to the war between the Saviors and Rick & Co and so many things were resolved that we won't list here and we got to see Morgan's debut on Fear the Walking Dead! For those of you who want to skip around, the Fear discussion starts at 44:35.

Soooooo much happened this week -- Simon played with fire and FINALLY gets burned, Dwight is in deep $#!% and may not make it out alive, Gregory is STILL alive (how is this possible?!) and delivers Negan's plan/trap to the Hilltop, Eugene got captured by Rosita & Daryl but escaped and now he's making bullets with a fierce vengeance, Aaron looks like he's knocking on death's door waiting for the Oceanside ladies to change sides, and Michonne finally delivers Carl's message to Negan but Negan has to deliver now and is committed to destroying the Hilltop.

This episode was packed with pivotal moments for several characters: Morgan, Carol, Rick, Negan...the list goes on. Morgan is walking a very dark path these days and clearly needs help. Or a break. Carol gets a serious pep talk from King E and finds Henry, alive! Will this change the focus of her character moving forward? WILL SHE & E BECOME CO-PARENTS?!?! (insert extreme fan-girl moment over their hand-holding bit) Rick goes back on his word in a BIG way and helps Morgan massacre the Saviors that fled the Hilltop. And Negan shows us a more human side and convinces Jadis to let him go. Btw, who are the helicopter people?? Did Heath come back and bring the big guns to the fight? Is this a group we haven't met yet? Is it Georgie's group?? So many questions we have.

This week we're breaking down episode 13 of The Walking Dead that aired Sunday, March 25, 2018.

 

What a crazy episode we got this week - both the Saviors and our group are now down to a final, small group of survivors. Both Simon & Maggie are faced with making tough calls, but it is now abundantly clear that Simon can't see beyond his own ego long enough to effectively carry out a plan whereas Maggie executes a beautiful strategy to fight off the Saviors but suffers critical losses thanks to Eugene's horrible plan. Negan & Jadis are still missing, Rick confesses he tried to kill Negan to Maggie, and Tara changes her mind about Dwight.

So Rick finally gets his chance to go after Negan in a crazed battle. Now Negan has been captured by Jadis?! What the --! Michonne tries to bring Enid and Maggie back to what our group has tried to stay true to since day 1 - compassion, generosity, and trust. And now Simon is unofficially leading the charge toward Hilltop with Dwight at his side. Things are ramping up for a heart-pumping, heart-breaking final few episodes of season 8. Tune in as we break down this episode and speculate what's to come!

This week we're devouring the most recent episode of The Walking Dead, episode 10 that aired Sunday, March 11th. 

 

Poor Father Gabriel...it seems like that guy can't catch a break. He has had such a rocky road and winds up nearly blind and with a dead Dr. Carson on his conscience. Eugene, on the other hand, is STILL the absolute worst. Maggie is faced with difficult decisions regarding the wellness of her people and the Savior prisoners and Tara is being ridiculous, foolish and a total hypocrite about Dwight.

So Simon could actually be a bigger bad than Negan at this point, Negan *nearly* shed a tear when he heard about Carl, Rick & Michonne left Jadis when she asked for help (karma is a bitch I guess), Enid went and killed grandma then luckily talked her way out of it, and Maggie's message has been finally been delivered. Soooooo much happened this week that's leaving us with more questions than answers!! Will Aaron succeed in trying to convince the Oceanside to side with us without getting himself killed? Will Simon try to kill Negan and do things his way? Would he even succeed? Will Jadis try to seek refuge with our group,  vengeance? Or maybe just solitude? Will the Hilltop be safe from Simon? For how long?
