The good news is that Maddie & Travis are finally reunited, albeit under somber circumstances, the bad news is that Chris is a remorseless murderer on the loose in the world and may be showing up at the Rosarito Hotel with his Bromigos. Maddie & Alicia finally connect and seem to be getting a fresh start. Was Maddie right to tell Alicia the truth about her father? How will Alicia be affected by this moving forward? If Chris & Travis are reunited, will Travis ever be able to see Chris in the same light? Will Chris finally see the error of his ways? What will happen if he sees Maddie & Alicia again? Will the group accept or reject him? Soooooo many questions!!

This show is now starting to feel like a real, quality TV show where we can not only get behind characters' actions, but we can feel with and for them as well. Alicia and Maddie finally make up (in the best way possible); Maddie comes into her own as the group leader, taking over for Strand; the group brings in new members to help fortify the hotel and its surroundings; and we see the beginnings of a controversial romance budding between Nick & Luciana, while Nick solidifies his spot in Colonia. Will Luciana's friend bring trouble as he tries to escape? Will Strand survive his wound in the next episode?

This week we dissect episode 10 of Fear the Walking Dead that aired Sun., Sept. 6, 2016.

We learn more about how Chris is "coping" in the end times and how Travis is managing. His gangrenous foot injury seems to be less painful than watching his son go over to the dark side. Alicia really steps it up in this episode and shows us she's better than her days pining for Jack, the World's Sappiest and Least-Qualified-Post-Apocalyptic Pirate. Thankfully Madison and Strand are safe, but Ofelia is still nowhere to be found. Was she taken by a walker? Was she kidnapped? Or is she being super emo and crying in a corner somewhere?

Will they bring good or ill on the people?

We are back from our summer hiatus!! With a new episode of Fear the Walking Dead comes a new episode of Looking at the Flowers, this time dissecting the mid-season premiere that aired Aug. 21, 2016. 

We think it's pretty safe to say that Nick is lost physically, but also probably mentally and emotionally to some degree. He seems perfectly content with his nomadic lifestyle, but how long will he be able to keep this up? He is already one of the luckiest sons o' guns we've met yet, that's for sure - when will his luck run out? Will he find allies at Colonia with Luciana and her crew?

Will Maddie, Alicia & Co go searching for Nick? What is happening with Chris and Travis? Will Travis be able to rehab Chris back into "normal" society?

What will happen to Ofelia now that she doesn't have anyone? Is Daniel really dead? Where will our groupito go next? What is in store for Nick?

This week on Looking at the Flowers we discuss this Sunday's episode of Fear the Walking Dead that aired May 15, 2016. 

The episode starts off with a bang when the group arrives in Mexico to find a group of slaughtered parishioners turned to walkers and immediately have to defend themselves. Chris fails the trust test and basically solidifies a special place for himself in hell by not helping Maddie and just watching as she almost got eaten alive. Strand discovers that his love Thomas was fatally injured not long before the group arrived, Travis doesn't want to believe that his son has turned into a monster of this new world, Daniel is losing it, Celia is batshit and Nick is already(?!) tired of life.
