The Yom Kippur War, also known as the 1973 Arab–Israeli War, was a war by a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria against Israel. The majority of the war took place in the Sinai and Golan. The objectives were “to recover all Arab territory occupied by Israel following the 1967 war and to achieve a just, peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.”
