  • Elizabeth Isele, CEO and Founder of GIEE
In 2017, Employment For Seniors celebrates 45 years in central Ohio, assisting mature job seekers.
Our annual fundraiser, The Legacy Awards Program, was held The Ohio State University's Fawcett Center. This is our opportunity to not only thank the community and all of our supporters but to let everyone in central Ohio know about the wonderful people who are seriously supporting mature job seekers and seniors in our community.
This year, the Julian Marcus Lifetime Achievement award winner is Elizabeth Isele, CEO and Founder of the Global Institute For Experienced Entrepreneurship (GIEE).
We are working in a multi-generational workforce and Elizabeth highlighted expands on that in her acceptance speech. Everyone is working with four, even five generations and we're doing it together. There are problems in multi-generational workforces. We have technology differences; conflicting attitudes among younger and older workers regarding career goals; and there are so many misassumptions between the generations. Elizabeth has keys and solutions for all of us.

  • EFS Services For Employers
Local employers around Central Oho find a highly skilled workforce by posting their positions, free of charge, on the Employment For Seniors JobMatch system.  With assistance from the EFS staff, employers are guided through job postings and initial applicant screening.
Executive Director Carol Ventresca talks with Barb Stoltz, EFS Employer Outreach Program Coordinator, about the reasons hundreds of employers work with EFS every year to find qualified candidates for positions they need to fill.
Our goal is to help employers – all sizes, small/medium/large – who are in need of great job applicants.  We particularly strive to assist those smaller employers who do not have full recruiting offices and those in need of technical help on the recruiting/hiring process.
We provide free job postings for employers – no limits on number posted.  We posted 1,300 jobs in 2016 from approximately 300 employers, with 600+ in our database.
If you are a local employer in the Central Ohio area and have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Employment For Seniors at 614.863.1219.
