What do scientologists, pickpockets in Barcelona, AirBnB, Bruce Springsteen and the Emmy's have in common? Nearly nothing apart from the fact that they are all covered in this episode of LIP! This week is quite mailbag heavy as our listeners help us reach earth-shattering levels of postulatory glory. After all, similarly to Tom Cruise, we really do it all for the fans!
We start by discussing the current state of AirBnBs (4:20). Are they still that affordable? And will they ever actually dethrone the old hotel-motel as most the preferential mode of accommodation? Then a listener writes in with an opportunity to punch a Paris-sized punching bag, to which we naturally oblige (16:25). Finally, a chaos agent sends us a plethora of hot postulations on Morocco, the merry-go-round's merits (or lack thereof) and Mission Impossible (20:30).
Then it's flowers for Bruce Springsteen and the E-street band who Nicola recently saw live in concert (32:25). We discuss why they keep selling out shows and what makes for a great stadium concert experience.
We round things off by discussing the recent Emmy nominations (41:40) and start working our way through the LIP community's predictions.
