Ahh yes. The strength, recovery, and adaptation (SRA) curve of athletic training, which describes the process by which an appropriate training stimulus influences positive growth. However, when we try to live life at full send without any preparation whatsoever then we tend to stumble. Nevertheless, an alternative approach exists when we acknowledge where we stand in life against where we'd like to head towards. So, in today's episode I talk story about how we can re-apply the SRA curve to our biggest dreams and ambitions without sacrificing reality. Ah yes. New Year's resolutions. I love them, but they can bring about disappointment if they're overly ambitious. So, how about this. For this New Year, I'm settling for less and having low expectations. I mean, life would be straightforward, safe, and highly predictable. Of course, I'm just kidding. But is safety better than getting hurt from taking risks? How’s it everyone. As you all know, I'm back in grad school pursuing my master's degree in exercise science and life is getting a little bit crazy. Due to the additional workload, I'll be trying my best to release new episodes every other week...hopefully. We'll see! But, no matter what, I'm truly grateful for the support.

Speaking of education, I actually started learning a new language as well. Oh, you know, I don't know when to quit when it comes to maximizing my work schedule. But, anyways, I'm learning Spanish in honor of my epic trip to Spain next year! I'll be heading out there for a few days before the Olympics start in France, so learning Spanish will be incredibly valuable.

Anyways, in today's podcast episode, I reflect on traveling and the value of learning the local language. I truly believe that communication is a powerful way to enhance the travel experience and in many ways is a great way to show respect for others. Patience is a virtue. Or is it not? When we live in a very high-demand culture, it is quite tempting to view patience as acting passive. Some would even argue that patience is the demise of the greatest desires of life. However, what happens when we discover that patience is not option, but rather imposed upon us by the nature of the universe. Do we then become predisposed to failure? I don’t know what type of magical drinks those folks are drinking, but I’d argue that patience is one of the bare necessities of life. Patience is the ability to accept that certain things in the universe are out of control. It is the ability to confront adversity with clarity and know how to move forward with intention. So, in today’s episode, I explore the value of utilizing patience with talent to amplify intentional greatness.
