We all have fears.  We are all afraid of certain things.  Some of us are afraid of dying, but many of us are afraid of not truly living and doing the most with the time that is given to us.  The solution is not to eliminate fear, but rather to face fear and use it to fuel our greatest desires of who we want to become.  People who live out of fear cower away.  Those who use fear as fuel are constantly stretching themselves and leveling up to become a much better stronger version of themselves.

Today on the Podcast, we have author Christy Bauman for Part 2 of A Brave Lament. Andrew and Christy wrote A Brave Lament in the wake of losing their firstborn son to a tragic umbilical cord accident. Christy was roughly 42 weeks when she had to deliver her stillborn child.

You may be thinking to yourself, 2020 has already been a drag, I don't need to be pulled further down. I would say these 2 episodes (A Brave Lament) may be the most important episodes we've done. Grief has and will affect us all, so we might want to be prepared by having a better understanding from those who have been through it. It's much easier to sit down and binge something on Netflix, but that is not why we are here or what we are about. We want you to GROW, and if you are oblivious to grief, it makes it all the harder when it does strike.

Grief isn't all dark. We talk about resurrection, rebirth, and renewal as well. If you feel like you are still "trying to catch up" on the cast, just jump ahead to this one. It may change the way you think. We all have dreams.  We all have things we want to accomplish in this life.  Our actions are often not in alignment with attaining those dreams.  Often we drift, or get distracted, addicted, or just focus on the wrong things.  What can we do to make our goals and dreams become a reality?

We can VISION.  What is visioning.  Visioning is the process of sitting down and figure out who you want to be, what you want for your life, the goals you have, and then figuring out what you can do today to start working towards those goals.  I used to hate visioning, but I have realized how essential it is to make sure you are aligned with who you eventually want to become.  Consistency is also a huge key to your success.  Showing up every day for yourself truly makes a difference.

One of my biggest struggles as a grown ass man, is finding meaningful male friendships.  I recently discovered that I am not alone in feeling this way.  I also learned this is far too common among men and that we all genuinely crave connection.  We often just mask it behind trying to be or become this "Mythical Man."
