Are a people that God wants to have success in this world, not as we'll see a financial success is not against that, but that is not the objective success biblically, is always tied to doing the will of God, and I think that's such an important point. Our success is not in the accumulation of wealth and possessions, but success for a child of God is when we carry out the will of God, that we do his purposes, we reflect his character.

In the scriptures, we find a very important question. And the question is, Is God the one true God? Is the only god of the Jewish people? And the answer is, No, he is not. He is a God for humanity, and God has a plan of salvation, not just for Israel, but for all of humanity. He created all of humanity. Therefore He is the Lord, the master, over all human beings. It's very important that we see this, because it's very common, especially within Christianity and within Judaism, to make an incorrect statement. And what is that statement?

We are going to begin a study of the Book of Amos. And we know that this man, also called in English, Amos. He was a prophet of the Lord that prophesied both regarding the southern kingdom Judah and also the northern kingdom called Israel. And he wanted to bring about a change in the kingdom of God.

Our God has a long history of blessing his people doing things for our good. Our God has shown Himself faithful to his covenant people over and over and over and the problem is, instead of responding to God's faithfulness with our own faithfulness. We tend to be rebellious. We do not choose his will, but we go after our own will, disappointing God and bringing upon ourselves God's judgment. Now we are studying in the Book of Amos.

Our God is a great provider, and we are going to see in the passage that we're going to study this evening a very important truth about God's provision. In fact, we might say a primary symbol of God's provision in the Bible. So it's a biblical symbol that whenever this word appears in the Scripture, it reminds us that God, and God alone provides for his people. And what does he provide? All things, all things that are needed for us to experience victory.

Baruch Korman 00:42

Not only did God the Father raise his only begotten Son, Messiah, Yeshua, from the dead, but we see that Messiah after he had been risen, we find that he appeared to many individuals, and we're going to focus in on one such appearance in this study. So with that said, take out your Bible and look with me again to the book of Luke and chapter 24 and we're going to begin in verse 13.

It is quite clear that the most important event that ever took place in human history is the resurrection of Messiah, Yeshua, that is Jesus, Christ. It has the greatest significance of anything, and it is tragic that many believers who know and believe that He rose from the dead do not understand what day He rose from the dead upon.

We have been focusing in on the resurrection of Messiah, and there's not a more important event than his resurrection, and we learned a very important truth, and that is that it was God, the Father, that raised his son from the dead, meaning simply that the resurrection and the way that it occurred teaches us that God accepted Messiah's work on the cross. Now, when did he do this work? Well, the Bible is very clear.

We are studying the greatest event of all of human history, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, the Messiah, who is called Yeshua, or Jesus. And the Bible teaches us something that facts are established if there are two or three witnesses, and we know that from the biblical account and the Bible has no heirs, the Bible is a book of truth. We learned that Messiah appeared to hundreds of individuals. What does that mean?

Shalom and welcome to our study of Hebrew numerology. We're now ready for the number nine, and before we get started, allow me to share with you that there's something unique about this number nine. Now our methodology is usually as follows. We go and we select a number, and we look at the places where that number appears in the Word of God, and we study that passage, and we find that from the context, we learn the meaning of that number
