  • Isaiah Chapter 53 Part 2
Who is this suffering servant of Isaiah chapter 53. Well, when one honestly and sincerely examines the texts, one thing that we can be real clear about is that the suffering servant is not Israel is not the Jewish people. But rather, as we see in other passages from Isaiah, that suffering servant here in Isaiah 53, is indeed the Messiah. And what we're going to focus in on in our study today is the purpose of why he suffered. What did this servant bring about because he suffered and died? Well, the word of God is most clear about this. And because of this, we can learn more about the mission of Messiah, why God the Father sent God the Son into this world, what that his coming the first time, bring about?

  • Psalm chapter 62
Do you have the right attitude? Now many people would say I certainly do. But what they mean is this. When things are going comfortably in their life, they're not experiencing problems in opposition. They're achieving the things that they want to achieve. Life, in other words is is good, then they have a right attitude. But what about those times? When things are far from good? You are experiencing opposition. There's hardship, there's difficulty, perhaps there's lacking, there's hurt in your life? does those things change your attitude? Well, what David's going to teach us is that they are not. We need to have a consistent mindset. Regardless of our circumstances. Our circumstances do not impact how we think about God, God does not change because I'm having a bad day. God does not change because of what my enemy may be doing. God is forever faithful.

  • Isaiah chapter 53 part 1
One of the most debated chapters in all the Bible is Isaiah chapter 53. And it's very easy to understand the nature of this conflict, this debate. Some will say that the suffering servant and I hope you all are aware that in the prophecy of Isaiah, there is one known as the suffering servant. Now we need to be honest with one another. There are some times that the suffering servant is indeed the children of Israel, the Jewish people. And at other times, in fact, the vast majority of the times that suffering servant is Israel's Messiah, not the Jewish people, but Messiah of Israel. So the question is simple. Who is Isaiah speaking about in chapter three? Is the suffering servant Israel, or is it Messiah. Now, most of the time, if you ask someone who is a follower of Judaism, especially Orthodox Judaism, they will tell you that Isaiah 53 is not about the Messiah. It's about the plight of the Jewish people throughout numerous centuries. And I'm holding in my hand right now, a commentary about the book of Isaiah, and rashis. commentating is found in this book, what he says concerning all of Isaiah, but obviously, including Isaiah 53.

  • Romans Chapter 8 Part 2
We all have something in common. When God created humanity, he gave each person a mind. But here's the question that you and I must answer. And that's this. What type of mind do you have? And there's only two types, two possibilities and only two possibilities. You will either have the mind of the flesh, and flesh in the Bible is related to sin. And sin is synonymous ultimately with death. Or you'll have the mind of the Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God, and through the mind, why is the mind so important? Because with the mind, one makes decisions. You if you have the mind of the flesh, you will make sinful decisions, and you will make those decisions that are leading you to death. Now I'm not speaking about just a physical death, we all die. But I'm speaking about any eternal death, a spiritual death, whereby you will know for eternity the consequences of sin, God's eternal judgment, being in torment, experiencing great sorrow and sadness and agony forever and ever. God doesn't want that for you.

  • Romans Chapter 7 Part 3
Do you understand yourself before God, we need to have a proper a spiritual understanding of who we are. And we need to understand our spiritual situation before coming to faith and that gospel message prior to becoming a new creation in Messiah. And after receiving the truth of God, taking hold by faith of that gospel, being that new creation in Messiah, we need to understand who we are spiritually before God. And a great assistance in answering those questions. Is this what God did to the Jewish people in Egypt? And I'm speaking about how he brought them out of slavery, the bondage of slavery, the order that took place, and what I'm referring to is this, you see, first God redeemed the people, we see that pattern in the book of Exodus, they were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. They came out of bondage in Egypt.

  • 2 Timothy 4 Part 2
Paul is concluding his second epistle, to Timothy. And we're going to see that in these last few verses. He's going to say many things to Timothy, and also about others. And as we go through these things, we're going to see some important principles and give us insight for understanding what is proper, and what is not proper, how to order our life in a way, as Paul did, that demonstrates the authority of the Spirit of God in one's life. So ask yourself, when people see your behavior, your decisions, do they see you submitting to the authority of God? Do you have this type of of witness, one who demonstrates submissiveness in order that you serve God, and where God has positioned you, where he's leading you what he is providing to youth so that you can do Are you faithful doing these things? Paul knows that his life, his ministry, is coming to an end. And I think it's very important what we see him sharing with Timothy, concerning this context.

  • Romans Chapter 8 Part 1
The Bible reveals that there is a judgement day when every human being over all of human history will have to appear before God for judgment. And there's two possibilities. One will be either condemned, or one will be invited into the kingdom of God. Let me ask you a question. Do you have assurance that you will be invited into the kingdom of God welcome there, as part of God's covenant family. There is only one way that you'll enter. And that's exactly what the Apostle Paul is going to remind us of today in our study...

  • Isaiah Chapter 52 Part 2
There is of course many things that Messianic believers and Orthodox Judaism does not agree with. That's no surprise. Let me share with you one of them. Now, for those who know the truth concerning who the Messiah is, we understand that there is great benefit in recognizing Messiah now, during our lifetime, and the Bible does something. The Bible gives us prophecy, in order that we can recognize Messiah, when he comes the first time which is already done, we can look at what took place, what he said what he did, and look at scripture and be assured this is the Messiah. Judaism takes a very different view. Judaism says you only proclaim who the Messiah is meaning there's only faith in him after, for the most part, he completes all what Messiah is supposed to do.

  • Habakkuk 1 Part 1
We are going to begin a new book of study the book called The prophecy of Habakkuk. Now we know virtually nothing of this man, we know his name. And we know what he said. He was a prophet of the Lord. And beyond this, nothing is truly said about him other than what he saw, he recorded. We know that he lived before the Babylonian captivity, before that group of people called the Chaldeans in English....

  • 2 Timothy 4 Part 1
Paul has been been writing to Timothy several chapters in his first epistle. Now, we've entered into the last chapter of his second epistle, chapter four, and Paul know something, he knows that he is coming to the end of his life. And therefore he is imparting to Timothy a type of of legacy. He is giving him a will, so to speak of important things that he wants to leave and instill in the Life of Timothy. So we're going to see much wisdom for living a God centered life, a life centered upon the kingdom of God that we might be found faithful, and that day of judgment.
