As we've progressed through this letter, we have observed that Paul is concerned that the Corinthian believers might respond to his correction in his first letter with hurt and hard-heartedness. To keep them from being confused about his intentions or affections, he reminds them several times of he and his companions' behavior in ministry towards the Corinthians.
