  • Episode 31: Yoga, Motherhood and Manifestation with Lana Shlafer

Are you wondering when you’re going to have time to realize your dreams? Do you feel stuck in the treadmill of life? Lana Shlafer is an amazing woman, mother, manifester and inspirational goddess. Her journey into motherhood has let her through a memorable path, finding the true strength within herself. We dive into yoga, motherhood and manifestation and how we can be our own best advocates!

We’ve all established that motherhood can have its challenges. I’m the first one to admit that it isn’t all rainbows and butterflies! But I’m also the first one to say that we all have a responsibility in how we feel and that’s why I absolutely loved this conversation I had with Lana Shlafer. Her view on motherhood and manifestation were so refreshing.
I’ve talked about mindset before in episode 27: The Magic of Motherhood and how through allowing you create the space for magic. Lana goes even a step further when it comes to mindset and the things we can consciously shift. She talks about the 1 degree shift that can slowly take you to where you want to go. Does this mean it won’t be uncomfortable? Absolutely not… You will still meet resistance, but when you meet that resistance with love, instead of more resistance you will transform!

  • Episode 29: Embracing Simplicity in Motherhood
We all know less stuff leads to less clutter right? More and more we hear about people embracing the minimalist lifestyle and loving it. I don’t consider myself a minimalist but I certainly embrace simplicity in motherhood. I share my top tips to help you simplify your life so you have more time for what matters most to you!

Are you on the minimalist train yet? I’ve embraced the idea of having less stuff because less stuff equals less clutter. I wouldn’t call myself a minimalist but I love the idea of decluttering. Ever since moving to Thailand 6 years ago I realized I need way less stuff to be happy. It’s not about material things, it’s about connection, presence and love.
Embracing simplicity in motherhood will create so much space and freedom. Instead of wondering what to do next or feeling like you are constantly cleaning up after everybody, you can use that energy on activities that lift you up and set your heart on fire. Once you have set your priorities and know what is important in your life you can focus your energy on that. That mostly means you might need to drop a thing or two but it brings you closer to your bliss and that’s what everybody is looking for right!

Running a business and a family at the same time presents you with lots of opportunities to optimize the flow. Being mom can be demanding enough but if you add your own business on top of that, you’re challenged to increase your productivity and effectiveness. In this episode you’ll get a behind the scenes look at how I run my business and family.

When I first started my business I felt overwhelmed by the idea of all the things I thought I had to have in place. I felt like I needed to know all the things and implement all the strategies. Soon I was working all the time and I was running in circles.
We live in a society where working hard is the key for success. It was so deeply ingrained in me that it was difficult to shake that off, but once my vision became more clear I started to implement systems to be more productive with the hustle. I embraced the “do less” filosophy. I released the idea of doing all the things myself, accepted help and made conscious choices what can and want to implement in my business.
This episode gives you a behind the scenes look at how I run my business and my family. It was through trial and error that I accomplished a structure to grow my business with losing my priorities out of sight, my health, my family and my core message. Listen to the episode ad learn from my struggles.

  • Episode 24: Finding Harmony between Being a Mom and Entrepreneur
Being a mom and entrepreneur is great because you can make your own rules but it can also be super overwhelming when you’re trying to do it all. In my years of being both a mom and entrepreneur I had to go through some tough times to really find a sense of harmony. It had nothing to do with the number in my bank account or the number of clients. It had everything to do with prioritizing and setting up clear boundaries in all areas of my life. Learn how I managed to stay grounded and connect with my kids and my business.

I don’t like the term mompreneur. Why? Because it suggests that it’s one thing, but for me there clearly a distinction. When I’m with my kids I want to be 100% mom, when I’m working I want to be 100% entrepreneur because we all know that multitasking is not productive at all!
I make a conscious effort to be with my kids in the morning. That means no phone, just me and my kids. I turn my phone on when I sit in front of my computer, after spending time with the kids and meditation/intention setting ritual. Boundaries are key when you want to create a life that works for you, not the other way around!
There’s also no right or wrong answer because you change, your kids change and your business changes. The important thing to keep in mind here is that being a mom and entrepreneur is a blessing when you have the right systems in place. Listen to this episode and learn how you can take control over your life, while being a mom and entrepreneur!

Have you ever wondered when is the right time to do your (daily) rituals? Are you always searching for a moment when your kids are asleep or playing? Rituals can be such an important part of the day, but it’s not always easy to find alone time for it. Stop searching and start creating moments to involve your kids in rituals!

I’ve talked about rituals a lot and why they are so important. Very often though I hear mothers mentioning that they don’t have time to do them.
