I’m thrilled to finally make this announcement! I’ve been working on this for months and I’m so passionate about it. Without further ado, here is my brand new podcast serie; the Postpartum Support for Goddess Mamas Podcast!
I am on a mission! A mission to move postpartum depression out of the taboo corner to open the dialogue. So why a podcast? I’m so passionate about helping other mothers to reclaim their fourth trimester. With these podcasts I’m moving my mission further and reach out to even more mothers. Enough with the shame and guilt! Did you know that about 15% of all mothers suffer from some form of postpartum depression? It’s time to change that and connect with all those mothers who feel lonely.
The Postpartum Support for Goddess Mamas Podcast
This project has developed in my mind for a while. I’ve been exploring different channels to empower new moms to face their emotions and thoughts to work through these time of great change. In the past we had a whole tribe around is, supporting us and helping us out. No mothers was doing all of it by herself. Nowadays we’re expected (by society, but also by ourselves) to do everything on our own.
In this very first episode I’m giving you a peek into my life and the road I walked. I’ve written a blog post about my postpartum journey before but to talk about it was like holding up a mirror. It’s a very personal and honest few of my life and the struggles I went through. To give you the heads up, I did shed some tears because talking about my journey into motherhood triggered some old wounds. I didn’t cut it out because Goddess Mamas, this is the real me! I’ve done my fair share of hiding behind my emotions and now I’m done with that!
It’s time we openly talk about our struggles because motherhood is not a competition. This is exactly why I’m passionate about raising awareness around postpartum depressions. I want to bridge the gap between our expectations and the reality.
Goddess Mamas This Podcast Is For You!
My hope is that this podcast will inspire new moms to break the silence and share their struggles with those around them. I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it until we all understand it; having a tribe is essential to have a balanced and peaceful fourth trimester.
Listen to the first episode here and let me know what you think!
