Every once in a while, a patient will see your relationship as more friendly than professional and chose to say comments that are not appropriate. Sometimes this can be about your gender, your sexuality, your race, your ethnicity or your religion. How do you ask a person to stop these comments while still maintaining your professionalism? It is a hard and difficult conversation. Especially if you are not comfortable with conflict to begin with (aka us). So, we are going to talk about it. We brainstormed ideas to create safe spaces for doctors, technicians, staff, and patients. Come join us on this journey of finding the best way to care for others, and make sure we have a safe environment for all.
