Lunch with Pippa Hudson

Tomorrow is World Pangolin Day, and as you may recall from previous interviews, we need to use every opportunity to highlight the plight of this most trafficked wildlife species on earth.  There are 8 different species of Pangolin, 4 of them found in Africa and 4 in Asia.  Sadly the east Asian demand for both their scales and meat means that even the far-away African species are in high demand, with buyers paying up to 3 thousand dollars per kg for the scales alone.

Guest:  Eemaan Singlee. She grew up on the Cape Flats, a long way away from the nearest pangolin. But recently she had the opportunity to travel to the Kruger National park as part of a journalism training exercise – and what she saw there has her all fired up.

Local musician Kristi Lowe has released her latest pop single, which is more than just a song. Her new song is a personal one,  which tells a story of her self-discovery, exploration, experimentation, and the emotional rollercoaster ride that comes along with discovering who you are. Your sexuality, your identity, and where and how you fit in society. Her latest song is called 'Girl Crush', and tells the story of her own experiences, of knowing from a young age that she was not only attracted to men.
